From left to right: Marble, Viridiana, Ceruleano, Electra, and Topazia

The Spirits are the main antagonists of Medarot 3, manipulating the RoboRobo Gang to further their own agenda, much like other villains in the franchise. Created by Black Devil and led by Marble, the Spirits harbor a deep resentment toward humanity due to the environmental damage caused by pollution. The four Spirits under Marble's command represent the elemental forces of nature, and their primary Medarots are based on the Four Chinese Symbols, reflecting their connection to the natural world.

As the story progresses, it is revealed that the Spirits are manifestations of the "force" within the Medals. Ikki Tenryou compares this force to the "Medaforce", calling them "Medaforce Spirits". After the main events of Medarot 3, the four Spirits eventually become Elemental Medals, which now reside within Ikki’s Medarots.

The only Spirit that stands apart from the antagonistic group is Subaru, a benevolent figure who does not share the same animosity toward humanity.

So far only rare medals demonstrated the ability to have Spirit forms.

List of Spirits[edit]

Four Elementals[edit]

Manifestations of the Medals created by Black Devil, serve as key antagonists in Medarot 3. These Spirits harness the power of the elements and command Medarots inspired by the Four Chinese Symbols. Occasionally, they also uses Blackbeetle and Blackstag Medarots. In addition to their forms as Medals and Spirits, they possess the unique ability to disguise themselves as humans, although this ability is rarely used, with only one member demonstrating it.

  • Electra - The Spirit of the R Medal, Electra embodies the element of electricity and takes on the form of a girl. Her primary Medarot is Tundre. Following the events of the main story, the R Medal was refined, and Electra now serves as the force of the Flame Medal.
  • Viridiana - The Spirit of the T Medal, Viridiana appears as a cat-like figure. Her primary Medarot is Basalt. After the story's conclusion, the T Medal was refined, and Viridiana now serves as the force of the Earth Medal.
  • Ceruleano - The Spirit of the Q Medal, Ceruleano presents himself as a boy and calls himself the spirit of the oceans. His primary Medarot is Lon-Gan, though he has also been known to use Blackbeetle and Blackstag. After the refinement of the Q Medal, Ceruleano now serves as the force of the Aqua Medal.
  • Topazia - The Spirit of the S Medal, Topazia manifests as a winged woman with a tail. Her primary Medarot is Sphink, along with occasional use of Blackbeetle and Blackstag. After the main events, the S Medal was refined, and Topazia now serves as the force of the Wind Medal.

Mother Medals[edit]

The Mother Medals, as the first Medals, are capable of manifesting in Spirit form, though they do not seem to align with any specific element. Their exact motif remains a mystery.

  • Marble - The Spirit of Black Devil's mother medal. It manifests in the form of a small child and is the leader of the elemental spirits. His primary Medarot is Genius.
  • Subaru - The Spirit of the Mother Medarot. It manifests in the form of a young boy with ancient Asian aesthetics.

Notes[edit]

  • Notably, the anime that was supposed to serve as a tie-in to Medarot 3 is called Medarot Spirit/Damashii. It is unknown whether this is a coincidence or if, early in the anime's production, they intended to adapt the Spirits' storyline but later changed their minds and opted for something entirely original.
