Mach Massive (マッハマッシヴ) is a somewhat obscure KWG-type Medarot that first appeared in the Medarotter Rintarou manga, and later in Medarot Navi. It was designed by the manga artist of the Rintarou series, Fujioka Kenki, and is considered to be the KWG-series equivalent to Kantaros.

Description

Mach Massive resembles a more angular and mechanical version of Head Scissors, much like how Kantaros looks compared to Metal Beetle. Like Head Scissors, it has a Sword on its right arm and a Hammer on its left.

In the games

Its first appearance in a video game is in the Kuwagata version of Medarot Navi, where it's used by Rintarou in place of Kantaros. (His "true" Medarotter, Ryou Kaiba, has never appeared in a video game.) Compared to the Head Scissors available in Navi, Mach Massive's parts have the exact same functions, but are slightly weaker in power, success, and armor (although they also take slightly less AP). He returns in Medarot 8 as downloadable content.

In Medarot Navi

Its model number is KWG-3BF to match Kantaros, with the suffix BF to signify it was created "before Navi" and designed by Fujioka Kenki (a trait only shared with Kantaros, Arcbeetle, and Blossomail). The spelling of its name was also changed slightly (to マッハマッシ), and it was given new part names to further differentiate it from Head Scissors.

In Medarot 8

Mach Massive makes a reappearance in Medarot 8 as a DLC-exclusive Medarot. It appears along with Kantaros and Rollstar in the first DLC mission, which can be downloaded for free.

Its model number is now KWG03.

In the manga

Mach Massive appeared in Medarotter Rintarou and the sequel Medarot R as the Medarot used by the famous "Hyper Medarotter" Ryou Kaiba. Its model number is KWG-2015, making it slightly older than Rintarou's Kantaros (model KBT-2020). It uses the same part names as Head Scissors.

Considering how the manga uses a different system for model numbers than the games, it's possible that Mach Massive was simply intended to be what the KWG model Head Scissors would look like in the year 2015, five years after Medarot 1. Given how everyone in Rintarou manga series names their Medarots, Mach Massive is most likely a nickname given to the Medarot by Ryou Kaiba.

Ryou's Mach Massive is known for its amazing speed, and has a finishing move called "Thousands Clinger" (サウンザンズ クリンガー) where it attacks with its sword and carves the word "Mach" (マッハ) into the opponent's armor.
