Rintarou Namishiina is the titular protagonist from Medarotter Rintarou! manga being later introduced to the games in Medarot R and Medarot 3.

He returned to the games in Medarot 4 and Navi. And unlike the original version of Medarot 2, he appears in the Medarot 2 Core remake, due to his participation in the anime.

He is a Hyper Medarotter, and participated in the tournment twice, winning it the first time and reaching 3rd place in the second time. His rank as a Medarotter is No. 2, being below Hikaru Agata in terms of skill.

He is known for owning and modifying a Metal Beetle Type 2020 that he names Kantaros, he soon loses Kantaros's parts once 2 years passed and upgrades him to Arcbeetle, a Medarot that he invented. Ultimately, in Medarot Navi, he is revealed to have upgraded Kantaros for the third and last time to Arcbeetle Dash. Like Ikki, he keeps his partner's name every time he upgrades him.

Medarotter Rintarou!

Rintarou is a boy that is an enthusiatic Medarot fan, idolizing Hikaru Agata. When he gets his partner, a KBT-0 Type 2020 model, he soon modifies him for higher acceleration and more destructive power, and at some point he joins the Medarot Club at Kameya Elementary, befriending Sensei Tamawo Satou, Fusaku, Ruriyo, Hasuke Samejima and Mutsuki Kinna.

When Rintarou tries to join the Medarot club, called the Damerot Club due to the nasty attitudes of its members. Hasuke initially refused due to his mean attitude, only for Rintarou to battle him. This turned into a 3v1 robattle, with Kantaros taking on Doggie(Cyandog), Kuma(Betty Bear) and Dogu(Gorem-2). He ends up beating Doggie pretty quickly, allowing Rintarou to join.

Hasuke shows off a new part he'd bought for Doggie and later Rintarou and his friends meet Ruriyo who reveals that the boy's Medarot Club is going to be abolished due to Hasuke's nasty attitude, and Rintarou decides to save the club by fighting her in a 3v3 robattle with Kantaros , Doggie and Gorem against Magentacat and two Sailormate.. Ultimately Kantaros is left the last one standing against Magentacat and switching parts, he wins the fight.

At some point later Rintarou encounters Ryou Kaiba, a powerful Medarotter that won the Hyper Tournament and learns of the title Hyper Medarotter.

After dealing with Ruriyo ans the girl's Medarot Club attempting to interfere with them joining the Hyper Tournament, Rintarou and the Damerot Club end up joining the Tournament anyway.

In the first round of the Hyper Tournament preliminaries, against Zamasu Academy, he and Hasuke are divided over who will be the leader and Robattle. However, Bafusaku sacrificed his Medarot to protect them from Sekizou's attack, and they united to defuse the situation.

In the second round, he becomes angry at Tomomi Amonakura's brutality against Ruriyo and the girls' Medarot club. However, when Hasuke was attacked by Tomomi's henchmen and his arrival was delayed, he became angry and acted on his own, causing Dogu and Kuma to stop functioning. What's more, Kantaros is also detained, but thanks to Hasuke who somehow arrives, he escapes from the predicament and narrowly wins.

However, in the third round, Tomomi stole everything but Kantaros's medal, and Tomomi's father, Gubei, bought up all the Metal Beetles. What's more, the stolen Kantharos is also used and they find themselves in a predicament, but thanks to Hikaru they are able to safely get the Kantaros parts back.

After somehow making it to the competition, he defeats the semi-champion, Izo , with Kaiba's advice. After many twists and turns, he won the title Hyper Medarotter.

At some point later, Rintarou battles Hikaru Agata and Metabee (KBT-0), defeating them.

Medarot R

Two years after the Hyper Tournament, Rintarou meets Ikki Tenryou and Metabee, and fights them a few times. Despite being the stronger Medarot, and due to Doggie misfiring, Kantaros loses all his parts to Metabee, leaving Rintarou down in the dumps for a while.

Rintarou's friends tell him to design a custom KBT type, resulting in the birth of KBT-4X Arcbeetle. Rintarou keeps Arcbeetle's name as Kantaros anyway, but a few mishaps with Kantaros result in him needing to awaken his medal, leading Rintaro to have Kantaros train with Metabee and Arika's Sailor-multi, and later fights at the Tokyo Meda-Tower in a competition for Karin against Kouji, Ryou and an annoyed Ikki.
