Blackbeetle (ブラックビートル), known in English as Blakbeetle, is a rhino beetle-type Medarot that first appears in Medarot 3. It's an alternate female version of Saikachis.

Description[edit]

Blackbeetle is a female beetle-type Medarot modeled after Saikachis, with the most notable differences being black colouring and a metallic eyepatch over its left eye. Compared to Saikachis, Blackbeetle's parts are more focused on power than speed. It also has the ability to Medachange into a tank-like Medarot, sacrificing speed for attack power. Like most KBT-type Medarots, Blackbeetle is exclusive to the Kabuto versions of the games, with it's KWG-type equivalent being Blackstag.

Blackbeetle's model number is technically the same as Saikachis (KBT-5), but with its parts numbers starting at KBT-55 to KBT-59. Due to other KBT-types not appearing, it is given the number KBT-35 in the game Medarot 3.

In the games[edit]

In Medarot 3[edit]

Blackbeetle and her rare B Kabuto medal were created by Black Devil to take out Ikki's Metabee, during the Kabuto Version's story. Initially under Black Devil's influence, she does not follow the 3 Laws of Medarots, but later, she is freed from Black Devil's control, and Yuuki gives her medal, along with her full set to Ikki.

In Medarot 4[edit]

Her model number is now KBT-55.

She makes a reappearance in the Kabuto Version's postgame, where she, together with Ikki and Mizuchi, fight multiple DVL-Series Medarots that were created by Orochi from her data, ultimately joining him after defeating Belzelga for the 4th and last time, giving Ikki all of her parts and her B Kabuto Medal, recognizing him as her master, once more.

Her personality is the opposite of Ikki's Metabee, behaving the same way as Rokusho from the Kuwagata version of the game, being collected and standoffish.

In Medarot Brave[edit]

Quote: Women are delicate? You're so out of date! You need to be taught a lesson!

There are 3 chances to get her parts: one during a parts test for Flame Tisala, another for the second test, and the last when you fight her in the Final Area.

You need to have 2 saves to get all of her parts.

In Medarot DS[edit]

Its model number is now KBT05-F.

A dark side beetle type Medarot, which is a counterpart of Saikachis. Its well-honed shooting attack will precisely shoot through its foe, no matter how fast it is.

In Medarot 7[edit]

After finding your first M-Drive from the cave created by the Meteor Impact, you recieve a female Tinpet and Blackbeetle's Medaparts along with a Queen Medal (in the Kabuto version). The default name for that Medal is Koreo. After she is activated, she will asks you to retrieve other M-Drives, as tasked by Azuma's father. In reality, she was sent by Dr. Hebereke to steal the M-Drives from Azuma, and when she encounters him again, Hebereke disowns her and leaves her for dead.

In Medarot Dual[edit]

In the Kabuto version, Blackbeetle is the Medarot of the Medarotter Ranked n°2, Sakhalin. He can be fought during the Postgame in the Chidori park and he fights alongside Amazo Azalea, Medarotter Ranked n°101 and her Rhinorush.

Win this battle and you'll win the Rank 2, as well as making Sakhalin your partner and unlocking the mission that will have you face Kohaku Himuro, who holds the n°1 Rank.

In Medarot 8[edit]

The "C" was added at the end of its model number to signify having a Medachange.

In the anime[edit]

Blackbeetle appears late in Medarot Damashii as a Death Medarot used by Kokuryuu. She is one of the few Death Medarots with a Death Medal (known as a Neo-EX Medal in english versions) which allows her to think and have feelings unlike other Death Medarots. While she is very loyal to Kokuryuu, she becomes afraid of him near the end of the series when he decides to use her medal in the extremely powerful Death Medarot, Grain. Eventually she is unable to control Grain and goes berserk, but is rescued by Ikki and his friends. In the end, she stays with Kokuryuu after he is defeated, with him finally realizing the importance of Medarots as friends.
