Similar to optical or gunpowder-based attacks, gravity attacks can be countered by using parts with [[Negate Gravity]]. In [[Medarot 1]] (and possibly other games), Break attacks will be completely negated, but the damage from [[Press]] attacks can only reduced by 3/4.
Break attacks add 1/2 of the % value on the [[Charge gauge]] to the success of the attack, increasing the chance of getting a critical hit. Here, unlike Press, Break attacks always have a [[pierce]] effect. The [[CF attack]] version is [[CF Break]].

In Medarot 1, 2, R, and 2 Core, gravity attacks are compatible with the [[Bear Medal]].
Medarot 7 also introduced a physical version of the attack called [[Break Hammer]].

Break (ブレイク) is an attack present in every Medarot game.

Break is a gravity-based attack that expands on contact to force the enemy's parts apart. In terms of mechanics, it works similarly to the other gravity-based attacks, Press and Break Hammer.

General effects[edit]

Break attacks are usually ranged (using the Shoot and Snipe skills) and have the special effect of using twice the part's reported success rate. This can make the attacks more accurate, damaging, or likely to be critical, although the exact mechanics vary between each game.

Similar to optical or explosive-based attacks, gravity attacks can be countered by using parts with Negate Gravity or Gravity Guard. It has no relation to the Gravity Control equip effect.

In Medarot 1, 2, R, and 2 Core, Break parts have the Gravity attribute are compatible with the Bear Medal.

In Medarot 1[edit]

Here, the bonus to success only affects the damage caused, and not the accuracy of the attack. When countered using Negate Gravity, Break attacks can be completely negated, while the damage from Press attacks can only be reduced by 3/4.

In Medarot 7[edit]

Break attacks add 1/2 of the % value on the Charge gauge to the success of the attack, increasing the chance of getting a critical hit. Here, unlike Press, Break attacks always have a pierce effect. The CF attack version is CF Break.

Medarot 7 also introduced a physical version of the attack called Break Hammer.
