Yellowturtle (イエロータートル) is a tortoise-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description

Being a Medarot based on a tortoise, Yellowturtle's armor is very heavy and shell-like. The weight of the armor makes it very slow-moving, and it specializes in slow but powerful laser-type attacks fired from its arms. It carries a battery in its head part that it can use to reduce the charging time on its own weapons or those of other Medarots.

Yellowturtle, along with Cyandog and Magentacat, represent the main components of the CMYK color model.

Yellowturtle can be distinguished from its upgrade Keithturtle by its somewhat blockier design and the distinctive lightning bolt mark on its forehead.

In the games

Yellowturtle is a tank-type Medarot with powerful Laser attacks on its arms, however, its effectiveness is limited by its slower-than-average movement speed and the long charge/cooldown time on its weapons. While the amount of armor on its leg and head parts is quite high, its arms are quite fragile and can easily be taken out with a single attack.

In Medarot 1, 2, and R, its head part is a Boost Charge action, which can reduce the charge time of any allied Medarot (including itself). In its Medarot Navi appearance, this is replaced with the Charge equip effect, which passively reduces the high AP cost on its arms.

In Medarot 1

In Medarot 1, Yellowturtle is the signature Medarot used by Kubota of the original Bad Kid Trio. It is also the second Medarot the player faces in the game, directly after Yanma's Cyandog. (The player can lose the battle without losing any parts.)

Yellowturtle's parts can be obtained later on in rematches with Kubota, or bought from a convenience store in the downtown (まちなか) area.

In Medarot 2

Yellowturtle's parts are not normally obtainable in Medarot 2, and must be transferred over from Medarot 1. It was replaced by the new TOT-type, Keithturtle. Yellowturtle was not included in the Medarot 2 Core remake.

In Medarot R

It is used by Kagamiyama, alongside Keithturtle.

In Medarot Navi

Yellowturtle appears in Medarot Navi using its design from the Medarotter Rintarou manga. Its model number is TOT-0BH. Its parts can be obtained from treasure chests scattered throughout the game.

In Medarot 8

Yellowturtle is available from the fifth DLC mission, alongside Sonic Stag, Ashton, and Hoppin. Its model number in the new format is TOT00-M.
