Mekong Narrob (メコンナッロッブ) is a betta-type Medarot that appears in Medarot 9.

Description

Mekong Narrob is based on a betta or "Siamese fighting fish", a type of aquarium fish known for its highly aggressive behavior. It sports a mirrored red and blue design, and can deal out fierce attacks using the rotating saw blades on its arms.

The Mekong in its name refers to the Mekong river in Asia, which bettas are naturally native to. The name of its head part (Labyrinth) is probably a reference to the fish's "labyrinth organ", which allows it to breathe in air.

In Medarot 9

Mekong Narrob is an aquatic-type Medarot with Guard Boost on its head and the newly-introduced Provoke attack on its arms, which does damage and temporarily prevents the opponent from switching targets. Its legs have the "Browbeat" ability, which lowers the Shooting and Melee stats of the opponent it's currently targeting by 10. Its legs can also support one heavy part.

It can be fought as a stray Medarot in the mountain stream area in the Kuwagata version of the game (Kabuto players encounter Cybister instead.)
