Battle-wise, Grain can disable Medaforce with its Head Part (In 4 this effect can expire as time passes). It can inflict [[Behavior Induction]] with its Right Arm, a status that forces the afflicted Medarot to use the same part (Head, Right Arm, Left Arm) as the medarot that inflitcted it, regardless of whenever the part is broken/out of uses (but the action will still fail if the part IS broken or out of uses), for as long as its afflicted with the condition. And it can use a [[Static]] attack with its Left Arm, a direct attack that leaves the targetted part (or Medachange) with 1/4 of its current HP if it lands.
Grain is also capable of Medachanging into a floating form. In this form, it has [[Assassin]], a direct attack that always hits, as its Drive-A, a [[Destroy]] attack on its Drive-B, and a Time Attack on its Drive-C, a shooting attack that gets stronger as time passes.

Grain is the most powerful Death Medarot. Kokuryuu placed Blackbeetle's medal on Grain. After Blackbeetle lost control of Grain, It went berserk. In the fire caused by Grain going rampant, It saved Kokuryuu, along with the other Medarot's help. Near the end of this episode, Blackbeetle becomes Kokuryuu's Medarot.
