Saikachis (サイカチス), known in English as Saikachi, is a rhino beetle-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot 3 and as an upgrade to Metabee. Saikachis also appears as a character in Medarot Damashii, under the name of Metabee. "Saikachis" is from "Saikachimushi", the name for Japanese rhinocerus beetles in south-Kanto district, Japan.

Description[edit]

Saikachis is a Medarot similar to a Beetle. Being a KBT type, it is mostly focused on shooting, which makes it suitable to wear shoot-based medals, specially the Kabuto one. However, its Medachange form allows it to also shoot a powerful cannon attack and wear down enemies quickly, and to move easily in terrains like cities and stadiums. Due to few other KBT types appearing in Medarot 3, it is given the KBT-3 serial number.

In the games[edit]

Medarot 3[edit]

In the Kabuto version of the game, Nae offers Saikachis' parts as a replacement for Metabee's early in Chapter 2. Saikachis was specifically designed by Dr. Medarot as a gift to Ikki.

Medarot 4[edit]

Saikachis appears as Ikki's first Medarot in the Kabuto version, already upgraded from Metabee.

Library description: Beetle type Medarot. An expert in strong attacks!

Its stats remain unchanged from Medarot 3

Medarot Navi[edit]

Saikachis is seen in the Kabuto version of Navi, used by Ikki during the postgame; the Kuwagata version sees him using Dorcus instead.

Metabee Shot[edit]

A Saikachis is the player character in Metabee Shot. Players must use Saikachis' missiles to destroy opposing Medarots while dodging enemy attacks.

Medarot Brave[edit]

Quote: A containing attack by Right Arm. A counter by Left Arm. Missile to finish! I'm perfect!

Saikachis is seen as owned by Ikki in Medarot Brave. He is the first Medarot the player can acquire.

Medarot DS[edit]

Its model number is now KBT05-M.

It can only be acquired via an event held between May 27th and June 7th, 2010, or by winning another player via Wifi who uses this Medarot.

Although the Medachange feature is not available in this game, Azuma may use a Medachanged Sakaichis as a mean of transport, similar to Landmotor from Medarot 2 Core, but the difference is that Azuma doesn't even need to have Sakaichis in his team.

Medarot 7[edit]

Saikachi can be obtained in both versions of the game. You must defeat the Medal Hunters' Captain Ikki Tenryou, and after winning agaist him, he will give it to you.

This gives the player two options when they want to upgrade Metabee.

Medarot 8[edit]

The "C" was added at the end of its model number to signify having a Medachange.

In the anime[edit]

Medarot Damashii[edit]

Main Article: Ikki's Metabee

Saikachis appears for the first time when Nae gives Ikki new parts for his Metabee. This was because Metabee couldn't fight Ginkai's Gun Desperado, a Death Medarot. The fact it was a Death Medarot made its attacking parts useless, and the Medaforce couldn't deal damage, as they are based on feelings and a Death Medarot's medal has no feelings, and thus can't use or receive damage from a Medaforce. Even when keeping his name, Metabee changed his parts to Saikachis ones, which allowed it to perform a Medachange, and now, as a car, it could defeat Gundesperado by making its head hit the ground.

He is voiced by Junko Takeuchi, and in the english dub, by Joe Motiki.
