Missile (ミサイル) is an attack present in every Medarot game.

Missile is a gunpowder-based attack that fires a seeking missile that explodes on contact with the enemy, causing damage. In terms of mechanics, it works similarly to the other gunpowder-based attack, Napalm.

General effects

Missile attacks are always ranged (using the Shoot and Snipe skills) and have a piercing/chain effect (meaning damage will carry over onto other parts if the part it hits is destroyed). They are also 100% accurate in most games after Medarot 3.

Similar to optical or gravity-based attacks, gunpowder attacks like Missile can be countered by using parts with Negate Gunpowder or Gunpowder Guard.

In Medarot 1, 2, R, and 2 Core, Missile parts have the Gunpowder attribute and are compatible with the Jellyfish Medal.

In Medarot 1

Here, Missile attacks have normal accuracy, but have a chance of still causing damage if they miss their target (called blast damage). When countered using Negate Gunpowder, Missile attacks can be completely negated, while the damage from Napalm attacks can only be reduced by 3/4.

In Medarot 2 / R

Missiles no longer have a chance of causing blast damage if they miss, and are now said in-game and in guide books to "target randomly". What this means is unclear, but it may be that it ignores the user's Medal's Nature when deciding which enemy to target (not proven).

In Medarot 3 onwards

In Medarot 3, 4, 5, Navi, 2 Core, and Shingata, Missile attacks always have a 100% chance of hitting their target.
