Cosmo-Alien resembles a classic gray alien with large red eyes. Unlike other Medarots, it has no mechanical-looking parts, and instead has a body made of nanomachines that allow it to change shape. In battle, Cosmo-Alien can transform its head and arms into random Medarot parts, giving it a highly unpredictable fighting style.

Cosmo-Alien (コスモエイリアン) is an alien-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description[edit]

Cosmo-Alien resembles the classic "gray alien" archetype, with large red eyes. Unlike most Medarots, it lacks mechanical-looking parts, instead having a body made of nanomachines that allow it to shapeshift. It bears red symbols on its forehead and chest, which are replaced with red triangles in its Navi redesign. In battle, Cosmo-Alien can transform its head and arms into random Medarot parts, giving it an unpredictable fighting style.

In the Medarot universe, Cosmo-Aliens are frequently implied (and confirmed) to be actual extraterrestrials who arrived on Earth via spaceships. This suggests that they may serve as examples of what the original Medarots could have looked like.

As a race, they first appeared in Medarot 1 and play a major role in Medarot 2 Parts Collection, where they ask Ikki Tenryou to help them and Hoketa fix the Fuyun Stone. They also make appearances in some scenes of Medarot 3.

Abilities[edit]

Cosmo-Alien's major function is transforming its Medaparts. Unlike members of the Elemental Series (such as Windcecil or Flame Tisara who are focused on attack or support transformations, Cosmo-Alien has no restrictions on what it can transform into... aside from being entirely random. As such, it is impossible to predict the course of a battle when one side uses three of them (usually Dr. Aki).

As can be predicted by their shared motifs, Cosmo-Alien is best suited for the Alien Medal and also the West Medal and their bonuses towards Transform parts.

In the games[edit]

In Medarot 1[edit]

Cosmo-Alien is found in the end game building (Select Corp HQ) on the 7th floor. On each of the four seats is a part.

In Medarot 2 Parts Collection[edit]

In this Game, a Cosmo-Alien asks Ikki for help retrieving the Fuyun Stone. However, this is an excuse for him to tour Earth and roam through space-time due to the Alien's Spaceship crashing and distorting time.

In Medarot R[edit]

Is obtainable from the Part Collection by fighting メダロッター11 that is ranked opponent number 14.

In Medarot 3[edit]

Although not obtainable in-game, Cosmo-Alien plays a significant role in the storyline.

While in the Gap of Time, Ikki catches a glimpse of the past, witnessing a Cosmo-Alien embedding Spirits into Medals and transforming them into Medarots.

At the game's conclusion, a Cosmo-Alien arrives to retrieve Subaru and Black Devil, taking them back to their home planet.

In Medarot 2 Core[edit]

Dr. Aki uses a team of three Cosmo-Aliens during a Medalink battle. It is the only time the player is capable of fighting Aki, thus requiring four playthroughs (at minimum) to obtain a full set of parts. In the Japanese version, however, it is also used by Rintarou since Kantaros is not present in the game, thus, it only requires 2 playthroughs to get a full set in that version.

In Medarot Navi[edit]

His model number is ALN-0BH in this game.
