Combination attacks are powerful attacks that require two actions (and often two different Medarots) to use. The most common combination attack is Cross Attack, which was added in Medarot 2. In Medarot 4 there were three variations on Cross Attack, as well as two completely new combination attacks, Sealed Attack and Sigil Attack.
In Medarot 2, R, and 2 Core, Cross Attack has the "Link" attribute, which is compatible with the Dragon medal.
In Medarot 7 onwards, Cross Attack has been replaced by the CF attack system, which allows normal attacks to function as a combination attacks.
Cross Attack[edit]
Cross Attack consists of two actions, Cross Attack Set and Cross Attack Fire. The "set" move places a trap on the field which allows the user's team to "fire" once. If the trap has been cleared or hasn't been set by the time Cross Attack Fire is used, the attack will fail. Setting the trap multiple times before firing increases the power of the attack.
It uses the Protect skill in Medarot 2/R/2 Core, Set-up in Medarot 3/4/5/Navi and the Set skill in Medarot DS.
Sealed Attack and Sigil Attack[edit]
Only appearing in Medarot 4, these attacks differ from Cross Attack in that they use status effects to set up rather than traps. Both attacks require parts from two specific Medarots to use.
Sealed Attack:
- Unseal - Only used by Errander (female). Places the "Unsealed" positive status effect on one ally Medarot. Uses the Support skill.
- Sealed Attack - Only used by Endeavor (male). Attacks with a now-unsealed weapon. Uses the Berserk skill.
Sigil Attack:
- Dark Sigil - Only used by Rapper (male). Places the "Sigil" negative status effect on one ally Medarot. Uses the Disrupt skill.
- Sigil Attack - Only used by Untold (female). Attacks with power from the magic sigil. Uses the Snipe skill.
