Comadog (コーマドッグ), known in English as Komandog, is a Medarot based on a komainu that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description

Comadog is based on a type of guardian dog statue called a komainu. It has canine features, and moves by riding around on a single large wheel in its tail. Its arms parts can fire powerful beam attacks.

Comadog's name simply comes from komainu, with the inu translated to dog. Its English name Komandog comes from the command and dog.

In the games

Comadog is a wheeled Medarot that attacks with Beam attacks on its arms. In Medarot 1, 2, and R, its head part has a Stop Cancel action that can cure allies of the Stop status effect. In Medarot 4 and Medarot 2 Core, this was changed to a more general Status Clear. Its leg part, being wheeled, has a very high speed and gives it a bonus to its Snipe attacks.

Comadog's arms and legs have the Optical attribute, making it most compatible with the Tortoise Medal.

In Medarot 1

Comadog's parts can be obtained by talking to the dog statues in the shrine area. This starts a battle with two Comadogs, which the player can fight repeatedly until they collect all of its parts.

In Medarot 2

In Medarot 2, Comadog's parts are not normally obtainable and must be transferred over from Medarot 1.

In Medarot 2 Core

Comadog appears in random encounters in the City area.

In the anime

Comadog appears early in Medarot Damashii, belonging to a young boy named Tateyama (Tak in the English version). Tateyama challenges Ikki to a Robottle, which Ikki wins with Metabee's arms tied behind his back.
