Blackmail (ブラックメイル), known in English as Blackram, is the original Devil-type Medarot. It first appeared in Medarot 1.
Description
Blackmail resembles a bipedal black goat with wings, an image that most likely comes from Baphomet. Like many animal-based Medarots, its functional eyes are located inside the mouth part of the design and stylized to look like teeth. It mainly attacks with vicious blows from its large claws.
Blackmail's name comes from English where it refers to a type of extortion. In the English anime and games, its name was changed to Blackram to better reflect its appearance. In Japanese, the spelling of Blackmail's name is inconsistant, with around half of the sources spelling it ブラックメイル and the other half using ブラックメール instead.
