| Kubota is a classmate of [[Hikaru Agata|Hikaru]]. At the beginning of the game, he is found bullying [[Kirara]] with [[Yanma]] and stands by as Yanma challenges Hikaru to a Robattle. If Hikaru wins the fight against Yanma, Kubota challenges him with [[Yellowturtle]]. If Hikaru fails or surrender, the story progresses as it normally would.

| After Hikaru defeats [[Yanma]] and gains access to the Medarot Company arena, Kubota is found blocking a path to the shopping district. When talked to, he tells Hikaru he would be better off taking care of monkeys in the mountains. After Hikaru defeats [[Inago]] and comes back, Kubota is confused and starts a Robattle with Yellowturtle again. He must be defeated to progress.
