Summary[edit]
At an unspecified location, strange figures who call themselves "aliens" discuss their plans to invade a location and retrieve an item they've long been after.
The next morning, Kirara and Hikaru are running late to school. Kirara explains to her friend the functions of the Medarotch and its Parts Transfer feature, but only mention too late that the school's principal will get mad if he sees any Medarot on the school's premise. As she does, the Principal knocks down Hikaru and Metabee and bring thems to his office as a curious onlooker watches.
Elsewhere, Iseki is berating Yanma and Kubota for losing to a newbie. The RoboRobos infiltrates the school and hears students discussing the RoboRobo Gang and the rumour that they are aliens. One student express his hope that the Select Corps will deal with them.
At his office, the principal berates Hikaru and reiterates the school's No-Medarot rules, but when Hikaru notices Medarots in the staff room, he sheepishly adds that adults are an exception. The RoboRobo intruder notices there are only three Medarots at the school's and successively neutralizes the staff's Holynurse and Dr. Study.
The RoboRobos introduces themselves as Typhoon, Inago, Reika and Suzume and order their Coffinbats to steal everybody's lunch. The students triy to counter by transporting their own Medarots, but find out the hard way the needed electromagnetic waves don't reach the school grounds. Being the only Medarot presents, Metabee and the Principal's Samurai] challenge them to a Robattle. Out of nowhere, Mr. Uruchi appears and asks if both parties are in agreement for a formal match. An annoyed Inago stomps him to get him out of the way and finds out why he shouldn't do that when Mr. Uruchi explains assaulting the ref is not allowed and has Nin-Ninjas stationed on an orbiting satellite fire a dart at Inago's neck.
The battle starts. Metabee and Samurai easily destroy many Coffinbats but soon find themselves overwhelmed by their seemingly endless numbers. Samurai gets the idea to lure the Coffinbats to a dark locker room. Once there, the Coffinbats surround him and somehow stick themselves in a huge ball around him. Samurai orders Metabee to fire at him but the Principal implores Metabee not to and shakes him, causing Metabee to fire and destroy all of the Coffinbats. With Samurai heavily damaged but safe, Mr. Uruchi declares Hikaru to be the winner. As the RoboRobos escape (and trample Bonaparte), the Principal congratulates Hikaru for his deed and offers to give him a reward. Hikaru asks for less homework, but Metabee gently suggestss to lift the ban on Medarots at school instead.
Notes[edit]
- The chapter inspired the anime episode Aliens-robo!. Shared plot beats include the protagonist's first confrontation with the RoboRobo Gang (though the episode was aired out of order in the Nelvana dub and its derivatives), the RoboRobos being believed to be aliens, and Mr. Uruchi punishing a RoboRobo for breaking the rules with an orbitally-stationed Medarot. Less directly, the concept of a Medarot ban at school and Metabee teaming up with the Principal's Samurai was later reused in the episode Ban on Robattles!.
