Grey Wars (グレイウォーズ) is a WarGreymon-type Medarot that was unveiled on Twitter and the official Medarot website as part of the 2021 April Fools crossover with the Digimon franchise.

Description[edit]

Grey Wars is inspired by the Digimon WarGreymon. It closely resembles a regular WarGreymon, but with Medarot-like proportions and details. Like WarGreymon, it can flip its wings to the front to form a shield, and attacks with its forearm claws. Its part names are references to WarGreymon's Brave Shield wings and Dramon Killer gauntlets, its Gaia Force attack, and its association with the Crest of Courage.

The 2021 April Fools crossover event added Grey Wars to Medarot S. In that game, its part functions are:

Part Name Type Action
Head: Grey Shield Protect Perfect Guard
Right arm: Dramon Kill Melee Charge Claw
Left arm: Gaia Claw Melee Charge Claw
Legs: Brave Leg Bipedal Adversity

Grey Wars is the first medarot to have parts with the Charge Claw Action.

Origin[edit]

Grey Wars is based on War Greymon, an Ultimate Digimon that debuted in the Virtual Pet toy Pendulum 5.0 Metal Empire in September 1999.

War Greymon is commonly associated as the final form of Agumon, the mascot of the Digimon franchise. He is also the final form of the Digimon belonging to Taichi Yagami, the protagonist of the anime Digimon Adventure.
