Equip effects are passive abilities given to a Medarot just by having a particular part equipped, rather than a selectable attack or action. Most parts with equip effects have no function when selected in battle, and the effect usually disappears once the equipped part is destroyed. The bonuses given by an equip effect part are usually significant, so as to offset the disadvantage of having fewer usable actions.

Some equip effects give bonuses to the Medarot's stats (e.g. Charge and Reinforce), while others give immunity to certain types of actions (Status Clear, Negate Optical, etc.). The exact mechanics of each effect may be different depending on the game.

List of effects

See the individual pages for more details.

Defense / Immunity

  • Status Clear - Gives the Medarot immunity to status effects. (Can also be used to remove status effects in some games.)
  • Trap Clear - Gives the Medarot immunity to traps. (Only works as an equip effect in Medarot 2 Core and Shingata.)

Stat bonus

  • Charge - Reduces the Medarot's charge and cooldown time.
  • Reinforce - Increases the power and accuracy of the Medarot's actions.
  • Booster - Increases the power of physical attacks after moving (Medarot Navi only)
  • Scope - Increases the accuracy of ranged attacks before moving (Medarot Navi only)

Other effects

  • Super Sense - Makes physical attacks function as ranged attacks, selecting targets beforehand.
  • Quick Decision - Makes ranged attacks function as physical attacks, selecting targets at the action line. (Medarot 4 only)
  • Gravity Control - Fixes the Medarot's charge and cooldown time to a specific value.
  • Auto-Regen - Recovers HP automatically over time. (Medarot 4 only)

Anti-Air and Anti-Sea also function as equip effects in Medarot 1, giving damage and accuracy bonuses to all of the Medarot's attacks against flying/water Medarots so long as one Anti-Air or Anti-Sea part is equipped. This was changed in Medarot 2 and later games.
