Wakaba (ワカバ, Suzie in the English dub and derived translations) is a character in Medarot Damashii. One of Kokuryuu's supporter, Wakaba appears to be a cheerful and friendly girl at a first glance, but this is one case where looks are deceiving. A born narcissist, she is a vicious bully in Robattle, a sore loser and eager to manipulate other people for her material benefit. These personality traits make her a natural Death Medarotter.

She initially uses the Medarot Put-Cat before switching to the Death Medarot Ambiguous 2.

Wakaba observed Tateyama practicing with his Comadog and, sensing his inexperience, offered a practice Robattle him with her Put-Cat. Despite being the one to initiate the bout, Wakaba was highly incensed when Comadog struck her medarot and promised to make him pay. Wakaba eventually won the battle and ordered Put-Cat to keep pouncing on Comadog's body after his medal ejected as punishment for fighting back. Ginkai intervened and, after firing a warning shot, had Arc-Dash offline Put-Cat when it tried to strike back. Wakaba walked away, swearing revenge.

Kokuryuu, who was watching the battle, was impressed by Wakaba's ruthlessness. Introducing himself as she was carrying Put-Cat back home, he offered to give her something that would guarantee she'd never lose again and gave her a tour of his lab, gifting her Ambiguous 2.

With her new Death Medarot, Wakaba headed to Ginkai's house to take her revenge. She immediately attacked Arc-Dash and made a mess of his home, also destroying the food in Ginkai's fridge. The battle eventually moved to the courtyard, where Kokuryuu reinforced her with Excise. The duo double-teamed Arc-Dash and a shot from Ambiguous 2 eventually offlined Arc-Dash. Satisfied, Wakaba walked away.

Wakaba later sent a message to Ikki pretending she had been kidnapped by Kokuryuu. Though her acting was unconvincing, Ikki and [[Metabee (character|Metabee) decided to go anyway to see what the Death Medarot Company was up to and was greeted by Wakaba at the top of the elevator, who immediately coped to the deception and threw a "bomb (actually a harmless alarm clock) at them. Wakaba lured the pair into a motion capture room where Death Medarot Company composited footage of Metabee being assaulted by Death Medarots to make it look like Metabee was brutalizing the Death Medarots unprovoked.

After Ikki's apparent fall from grace, Wakaba became popular and was used as a marketing idol for Death Medarots. At the opening of the Death Medarot store, Wakaba signed posters and exchanged pleasantries with customers. Iwanoi and Kagamiyama stood in line to get a signed poster to resell, but were taken away by a furious Kikuhime.

Later, Wakaba was summoned with Kokuryuu's other Death Medarotters to ambush Ikki at a baseball stadium and ganged up on him. She ignored Kokuryuu's order to stand down and stop attacking Ikki, prompting Kokuryuu to offline Ambiguous II with his new Death Medarot, Blackbeetle.

Having witnessed Iwanoi and Kagamiyama's devotion to Kukihime, Wakaba decided she wanted her own manservant and tried to get Tateyama to become her "friend". When her first attempt failed, she took Hanabishi's Medarotch under a false pretense of returning it for repairs and gave it to a crestfallen Tateyama (who had just given away Comadog), promising him he'd get Unitris in exchange for doing her chores a few hours a day.

The pair was confronted by Ginkai and Wakaba convinced her errandboy he could prove his power by defeating Ikki and Metabee. They agreed to a Robattle, but Tateyama struggled to defeat Metabee despite Unitris power. Growing impatient, Wakaba planned to intervene with Ambiguous II but the two were found out by Comadog. They tried to deal with the medarot, but before Ambiguous II could finish off Comadog, Ginkai and Arc-Dash appeared to save him and scare off Wakaba from executing her plan.

Tateyama later gave back the Medarotch to Wakaba. When Hanabishi and Kintora asked to get the watch back, she tied the Medarotch to a stray cat and made them run after it.

Notes

  • Wakaba often speaks about herself in the third person in the Japanese script. This speaking pattern is mostly eliminated in the English dub beside a few lines in Episode 31.
