Anti-Air (たいくう or アンチエアー, "Anti-air") is a type of attack present in almost all Medarot games.

Anti-Air attacks do extra damage to Medarots with Flying-type leg parts. It's often depicted as a type of missile attack, and works similarly to Anti-Sea.

In Medarot 1, 2, and R

In the first few games, Anti-Air is an equip-effect given to any parts with the Anti-Air attribute, regardless of the attack they perform. Equipiing one Anti-Air part gives all of that Medarot's attacks the Anti-Air effect until the part that gives Anti-Air is destroyed (meaning it can be used with both ranged and physical attacks). Medarots with Anti-Air parts have improved accuracy and power against flying Medarots.

Since it depends on the attack you use, it technically works with any attacking skill (Shoot, Snipe, Strike, or Berserk). The Bat Medal is compatible with the Anti-Air attribute.

In Medarot 3 onwards

In the GBC and GBA games, Anti-Air is considered an attack by itself. The attack has high accuracy and power against flying Medarots, but behaves normally otherwise. Usually the parts with Anti-Air have very low power and armor, making them very situational.

Anti-Air attacks generally use the ranged attacking skills (Shoot and Snipe), but occasionally use Protect instead. In Medarot 2 Core and Shingata Medarot, Anti-Air attacks set off Shooting Traps.
