List of Medarot 2 Core characters; Although the cast is practically identical to Medarot 2, there are a few more characters and changes to some primary Medarots:

Main Characters

Ikki Tenryou

The Protagonist. His initial Medarot is Metabee or Rokusho depending on the version.

Arika Amazake

Ikki's childhood friend and classmate. A tomboy girl who aspires to become a professional journalist. Her primary Medarot is a Sailor-Multi named Brass. She is one of the two romantic options for Ikki.

Kouji Karakuchi

Ikki's rival. A hot-blooded Medarotter and student from Hanazono Private School. His primary Medarot is Smilodonad or Warbonnet depending on the version.

Karin Junmai

A sweet but sickly girl from the same school as Kouji. Her primary Medarot is Saintnurse. She is one of the two romantic options for Ikki.

Hachiro Awano

One of the Hanazono Private School students. A spoiled rich boy who was initially antagonistic towards Ikki but eventually came to value their friendship. In this remake his primary Medarot is Rollstar.

The Screws

Kikuhime

An arrogant girl and leader of the Screws. Her primary Medarot is Peppercat.

Iwanoi

A boy specialized in hacking. In the remake his primary Medarot is Cyandog.

Kagamiyama

A strong and neatness-obsessed boy. His primary Medarot is Keithturtle.

Banchou

He was temporarily part of the group. His primary Medarot is Bankaran.

Returning characters

Hikaru Agata

Protagonist of Medarot 1, now works at the convenience store at Ikki's town. He now has an alter ego called Phantom Retort and helps Ikki at various moments. His primary Medarot is his old Metabee/Rokusho.

Kirara Akita

Hikaru's love interest now works at the Medarot Company. She also has her alter ego as Lady Retort. Her primary Medarot is Sailormate.

Dr. Medarot

Authority in Medarots and Nae's grandfather. His primary Medarot is Cosmo-Alien.

Nae Akihabara

Granddaughter of Dr. Medarot. She befriends Ikki and currently works on the Elemental series which are her primary Medarots.

Mr. Uruchi

The official Robattle referee. In this game he is the referee of the Medarot Island tournament and Partsun Rally.

Tenryou Family

Chidori Tenryou

Ikki's mother. A woman with a strong personality more concerned with her son's studies than with Medarots.

Jouzou Tenryou

Ikki's father. Optimistic and sympathetic, he supports Ikki's Medarotter career.

Salty

Ikki's docile dog. He is found most of the time in the boy's bedroom.

Select Corps

Awamori

A Captain from Select Corps, he is actually a lazy man who rarely does his work. Every time Ikki defeats RoboRobo Gang, Awamori appears to take credit for himself.

Tokkuri

The Vice-Captain. He's more serious in his work but needs to accept Awamori's ideas for hierarchy reasons.

RoboRobo Gang

Sakekaasu

The new leader of the gang. His primary Medarot is Darkness Mage (Kabuto) or Triple Gottsun (Kuwagata). "Sakekasu" is Japanese for sake lees, the residual yeast left over from brewing.

Surume

The female leader, known for her strictness with the grunts. Her primary Medarot is Stone Mirror (Kabuto) or Circulis (Kuwagata). "Surume" is Japanese for cuttlefish.

Salami

Leader of the children's division, he believes that children are more efficient than adults. His primary Medarot is Gentleheart. "Salami" is a cured sausage consisting of fermented and air-dried meat, typically pork.

Shiokara

The second-in-command who hates children. His primary Medarot is Dashbutton (Kabuto) or Abyss Greater (Kuwagata). "Shiokara" is Japanese for salted fish entrails.

Milky

A magical girl who appears in several games to allow players to use communication service. Here, however, she collaborates with the gang in kidnapping children to recruit new members. She considers these children as part of her "collection." Her primary Medarot is Sunwitchy. Her name is a diminutive of "milk."

Dr. Hebereke

The game's main antagonist. He is RoboRobo Gang's sponsor but secretly uses them to further his own plans. In the remake, he typically uses the duo Bayonet and Solin, and in the penultimate chapter, he starts using Beast Master. However, his secret weapon is God Emperor, which eventually gets out of control. "Hebereke" means "drunk" or "tipsy" in Japanese.

Medarot Island

Prince Kir

Representative of Southern Island Kingdom. In the remake his primary Medarot is Red Matador.

Shandy

Representative of Italy. In the remake her primary Medarot is King Pharaoh.

Spumoni

Representative of Russia. His primary Medarot is Auroraqueen.

Joe Suihan

American representative and Jaw Suihan's son. His primary Medarot is Teepee.

Tequila

Representative of Latin America, exclusive to the Kabuto version. His primary Medarot is Sabotenna.

Ryo

Medarotter exclusive to the Kuwagata version. His primary Medarot is Amboina.

Rintarou Namishima

The titular protagonist of the Medarotter Rintarou! manga which later made his debut in the games in Medarot R and canonically in Medarot 3. Unlike the original Medarot 2, Rintarou makes his premature appearance in the remake as a simple post-game cameo.

Kodine Kingdom

  • Margarita - Princess of the ancient kingdom, she ends up befriending Ikki. Her primary Medarot is a Utopian named "Pousse-Café".
  • Jyozo - The oracle of the kingdom who predicted the prophecy about the great hero.
  • Ginjyo - The chancellor and Margarita's guardian.

Shinobic Park

  • Goemon - One of the three ninja brothers. His primary Medarot is The Ancient.
  • Hanzo - One of the three ninja brothers. His primary Medarot is The Ancient.
  • Geezer - The grumpy old man from the first game returns. He lives in the isolated house in Shinobic Park (Normally inaccessible). His primary Medarot is Metabee or Rokusho and becomes frustrated with losing his parts with each defeat.

Others

  • Kannie - An elderly woman who lives alone with her Medarots on Mt. Odoro.
  • Yanagi - The ghost Medarot of Mt. Odoro belonged to Natsuko before she moved to Medaropolis.
  • Arika's Mother - She spends most of her time at home, but she accompanies her daughter and Ikki at Medarot Island.
  • Demon King - Witch's Castle's Role Play villain in Medarot Island. His primary Medarot is Fligflag.
  • Natsuko - Kannie's granddaughter. She moved to Medaropolis to work at the Medarot Company.
  • Hanamura - Hanazono Private School's principal.
  • Kahlua - One of the children recruited by the RoboRobo Gang. Like the other kids, her primary Medarot is Turnmonkey.
  • Harvey - A flying Medarot, likely a Propolis, that is part of Dr. Hekrebe's troops.
  • Kawamura - A self-centered middle-aged man, encoutered in a post-game event on Medarot Island.
  • Shiratama - He interrupts the Partsun Rally ceremony and introduces himself as the game's "true boss". He has a powerful team consisting of God Emperor, Wonder Angel and Belzelga.
  • Koishimaru Tensan - Protagonist of Medarot 5, he is brought from the future as a mysterious Medarotter. His appearance is exclusive to the Japanese version as a post-game secret boss. His Medarot team is an identical copy of Ikki's team.
