Medaforce, differently from the games, can only be acquired if the Medarot has a rare medal or is particularly exceptional. Early in the series, the Medarots that execute the Medaforce have no control over when the Medaforce is activated, but later in the series the characters seem to develop a certain control over when the Medaforce is used. The first time the Medaforce is seen in the anime is when Rokusho and Metabee fight on the roof of Dr. Akihabara's burning lab, when Rokusho uses it to defeat Metabee.

Unlike the games, when a Medarot uses a Medaforce, it uses so much energy from its medal the Medarot is unable to perform an action for a time, long enough to receive an attack, making the Medaforce a kind of all or nothing move.
In contrast to the games, when a Medarot uses Medaforce in the anime, it expends so much energy from its Medal that it becomes temporarily immobilized, leaving it vulnerable to incoming attacks. This makes Medaforce a high-risk, high-reward maneuver.

Some few Medarots in the anime series have been seen to master the Medaforce, and almost all of them had a rare medal. These Medarots are Ikki's Metabee, Rokusho, Kouji's Smilodonad, Victor's Warbandit, Hikaru's Arcbeetle, Patra's Empress Patra, Yuuzuru's Dorcus and Ginkai's Arcbeetle-Dash, and Kokuryuu's Blackbeetle. However, Smilodonad's medal was not rare, and the storyline did not provide a satisfactory answer as to why could Smilodonad use the Medaforce. Also, Empress Patra's Medaforce replicates Metabee's(She had an Alien Medal!) and didn't show its own ability as her Medaforce copies other Medaforces. Although a Death Medarot, Blackbeetle has feelings, therefore she can use the Medaforce.
A select few Medarots in the anime have mastered Medaforce, with most of them possessing rare Medals. Every Medal that has used a Medaforce, not counting Empress Patra's, is either a Kabuto or a Kuwagata Medal. Kabuto first one blast a shoot with their arm parts, dealing a massive ammount of damage in one shot (similar to the Kabuto Medal's Ultrashoot or Issei Shageki), while Kuwagata users use a sword part they might be wearing (such as Rokusho's Chanbara Sword, Smilodonad's Flexor Sword or Dorcus's Forvice) to create a huge slash that deals a massive ammount of damage (similar to the Kuwagata Medal's Spiral Bolt or Tate Issen).
Each Medaforce user, except Empress Patra, possesses either a Kabuto or Kuwagata Medal. Kabuto Medal users unleash a powerful blast from their arm parts, akin to Ultrashoot or Issei Shageki, dealing substantial damage in one shot. On the other hand, Kuwagata Medal wielders utilize sword parts like Rokusho's Chanbara Sword, Smilodonad's Flexor Sword, or Dorcus's Forvice to deliver a devastating slash, similar to Spiral Bolt or Tate Issen.

During Medarot Damashii, there's a significant change in how Medaforce is executed—a massive beam blast emitted from the Medarots' hands, a trait shared by Metabee and Dorcus.

However, during Medarot Damashii, the way the Medaforce was executed changed drastically, as it was a huge beam blast fired from the Medarots' hands, while they keep it "hold" on both hands, independant of the medal. Metabee and Dorcus share this trait.

Medaforce (メダフォース) is a special kind of skill every Medal can obtain in Medarot 2 onwards. A Medaforce attack acts as a regular attack, but is independant from the Medarot's parts (except if the Medarot's functions have ceased), and its requirement is a certain amount of charged Medaforce from the Medarot (usually represented by a MF gauge in the games).

In the anime

Medaforce, unlike in the games, can only be accessed by Medarots with rare Medals or those deemed exceptional. Initially in the series, Medarots using Medaforce had no control over its activation, but as the story progressed, characters began to exhibit a degree of control over when they unleashed the Medaforce. The first instance of Medaforce in the anime occurs during Rokusho and Metabee's rooftop battle at Dr. Akihabara's burning lab, where Rokusho employs it to defeat Metabee.

In contrast to the games, when a Medarot uses Medaforce in the anime, it expends so much energy from its Medal that it becomes temporarily immobilized, leaving it vulnerable to incoming attacks. This makes Medaforce a high-risk, high-reward maneuver.

A select few Medarots in the anime have mastered Medaforce, with most of them possessing rare Medals. These Medarots include Ikki's Metabee, Rokusho, Kouji's Smilodonad, Victor's Warbonnet, Hikaru's Arcbeetle, Tawarama's Empress Patra (whose Medaforce mimics Metabee's due to an Alien Medal), Yuuzuru's Dorcus, Ginkai's Arcbeetle-Dash, and Kokuryuu's Blackbeetle. Notably, Smilodonad's Medal wasn't rare, leaving his Medaforce usage unexplained in the storyline. Blackbeetle, despite being a Death Medarot, can use Medaforce due to her emotional capabilities.
