Leg abilities are a mechanic that was first introduced in Medarot 8. In addition to deciding the Medarot's leg type and certain stats, all leg parts now have an "ability" (とくせい) that provides a passive effect in battle.
Effects[edit]
The effects of leg abilities are highly varied, and in some cases offer large enough benefits that the player may select leg parts based on their abilities rather than other stats. Leg abilities can modify the Medarot's stats, Charge gauge, or terrain compatibility, reduce the amount of damage the Medarot takes, or cause other in-battle effects based on a variety of conditions. For example, the "Charge Shot" ability increases the Medarot's shooting and power stats by +5 when it's at 100% charge, and the "Trap Buster" ability causes the Medarot to destroy enemy-placed traps instead of triggering them.
