Rocktrans (ロックトランス) is a MegaMan.EXE-type Medarot that was that was added to Medarot S as part of a collaboration with the Mega Man Battle Network series. The RME model number is from "RockMan.EXE," the Japanese name of the franchise, and Rocktrans's name comes from Rockman (the Japanese name of Megaman) and Transmission, which is a term used in the series for sending NetNavis into computer networks.
Description[edit]
Rocktrans is inspired by the NetNavi Megaman.EXE. It closely resembles Megaman, but with a medarot-style white face with just eyes instead of the original's humanlike face, and its right arm is always in its buster form. It attacks by shooting from its buster arm or changing the other arm to a sword to attack with.
Rocktrans' part functions in Medarot S are:
Part | Name | Type | Action |
---|---|---|---|
Head: | ExaMemory | Assist | Cyber Core |
Right arm: | Rock Gun | Shooting | Charge Buster |
Left arm: | StepSword | Melee | Slash |
Legs: | Operation | Bipedal | All-Rounder |
Its head part is named after the ExaMemory program that allows MegaMan.EXE to contain a huge amount of data, while its arms are named after the Rock Buster gun that he uses for normal attacks and the StepSword Battlechip that allows him to appear in front of an enemy and slash them. The name of the legs, "Operation," is from the term used in series for a NetBattler controlling their NetNavi in battle.
Rocktrans is the first medarot to have a part with the Slash Action, a melee attack that ignores stealth and does more damage the closer the target is to the Active Line.

Origin[edit]
RockTrans is based on MegaMan.EXE (Rockman.EXE in Japan), the titular protagonist of the Mega Man Battle Network series, an RPG series originally released for the Game Boy Advance. The first game in the series was released on March 21, 2001. He is the fourth Mega Man in the franchise, succeeding MegaMan Volnutt in release order, and is technically a parallel universe counterpart to the original Mega Man.
MegaMan.EXE was originally Hub Hikari (Saito Hikari in Japan), the twin brother of Lan Hikari. Hub died shortly after birth due to a rare heart condition known as HBD. His father, Yuichiro Hikari, used Hub's data to revive him as a NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, operated to his still-living brother.
Together with Lan, MegaMan.EXE saves the internet from cyber-terrorists like WWW. Similar to his original counterpart, his archenemy is Dr. Wily.
