Dechotom (デコトム) is a rhino beetle-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot G.

In the games[edit]

In Medarot G[edit]

In the Kabuto version, Dechotom is given to Koishimaru by Shigeyuki (a Medarot researcher) at the beginning of the game. It is used by Hiko in the Kuwagata version.

In-battle, its head part fires a Missile, its right arm is a Rifle that fires 3 small shots in different directions, and its left arm is a Gatling attack that fires 3 shots in quick succession. Its legs are bipedal (running-type) and are geared heavily toward shooting attacks.

Like Bayonet compared to Metal Beetle, Dechotom is stronger and more resilient than Chrotojil, being able to take hits that could easily damage Chrotojil, making it easier to use compared to Metal Beetle.

Main article: Koishimaru's Omeda

In this manga, Koishimaru receives Dechotom's parts from Shigeyuki to use as a replacement body for Omeda after his parts were destroyed in a battle at the end of the Medarot 5 series. After competing in the Densuke Land tournament, he returns to using Chrotojil's parts once the repairs are completed. In the manga, his model number is KBT-1, much like Bayonet in its first appearance in Medarot 2.
