Omega Knight (オメガナイツ) is an Omegamon-type Medarot that was unveiled on Twitter and the official Medarot website as part of the 2020 April Fools crossover with the Digimon franchise.
Description[edit]
Omega Knight is inspired by the Digimon Omegamon, which itself is a fusion of the Digimon WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. It closely resembles a regular Omegamon, but with Medarot-like proportions and details. Like Omegamon, it can extend weapons (the Garuru Cannon and Grey Sword) from the heads on its arms, but unlike Omegamon it can swap them for functional hands when outside of battle. Its "cape" is made of two solid pieces which can swivel on joints behind its shoulders.
Although Omega Knight didn't originally appear in any games, its part actions were listed on the official website:
Part | Name | Action |
---|---|---|
Head: | All Deleter | Radar Sight |
Right arm: | Garuru Blaster | Hyper Beam |
Left arm: | Grey Slasher | Sword |
Legs: | Multi-Type | Bipedal |
The 2021 April Fools crossover event actually added Omega Knight to Medarot S, in addition to the new Medarots Grey Wars and Garuru Metal. Its model number in Medarot S is DGM00, and its part functions were changed:
Part | Name | Type | Action |
---|---|---|---|
Head: | All Deleter | Assist | Dominion |
Right arm: | Garuru Blaster | Shooting | Hyper Beam |
Left arm: | Grey Slasher | Melee | Beam Sword |
Legs: | Multi-Type | Bipedal | Auto Charge |
Dominion is a new part ability introduced for Omega Knight.
The name of its head part (All Deleter) is a reference to the words "All Delete" (オールデリート), which are inscribed on Omegamon's Grey Sword in Digimoji letters.
It's counterpart in the 2020 April Fools Digimon crossover was Omedamon, a Medarot-inspired Digimon. The reveal page for Omega Knight was removed from the official Medarot website on April 2nd, and now simply redirects to the main page.
Omega Knight was likely somewhat inspired by Cross Messiah from Medarot S, as it is a combination of the two main Medarot types from the franchise, much like Omegamon is a combination of the two main Digimon from Digimon Adventure. Like Cross Messiah, its design and artwork were both created by Tyuga.

Origin[edit]
Omega Knight is based on Omegamon, a Super Ultimate Digimon. Omegamon was primarily created for the movie Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!, where he was initially called "Masterdramon" at the beginning of production. However, he debuted three months earlier in the game Digimon Adventure: Anode Tamer for WonderSwan on December 16, 1999. In the movie, Omegamon is the Jogress (fusion) of Taichi's War Greymon and Yamato's Metal Garurumon, serving as Digimon Adventure's "final Digimon."
Outside the Digimon Adventure universe, Omegamon is officially a member of the Royal Knights. The first three revealed members of the Royal Knights are the final Digimon from the first three anime series. Omegamon has strong links to Alphamon, the leader of the Royal Knights, possibly referencing the relationship between Lancelot and King Arthur of the Knights of the Round Table.
