Nae Akihabara (秋葉原 ナエ Akihabara Nae) is a character from Medarot series and first appeared in Medarot 1. She is Dr. Medarot's granddaughter and one of the world's foremost expert in Medarot design. Despite her expertise however, Nae remains modest.
She is one of the two romantic options for Hikaru Agata in the first game. She returns in Medarot 2 as an ally to Ikki Tenryou. Her primary medarot is Heal Angel in Medarot 1 and the Elemental Series in Medarot 2 and Medarot R.
In the games[edit]
Medarot 1[edit]
Nae is responsible for Medarot part design and can be found supervising tests inside the Medarot Laboratory, in the right room of the first floor. Though meeting her is completely optional, Hikaru can potentially romance her based on various decisions made during the story. If the player meets the condition for her ending, she will gift Hikaru the Acehorn set in the postgame. Romancing her is also tied to acquiring the Angel (Kabuto version) and Ninja medals at the Mountain Village's dam.
To access Nae's ending, players must satisfy the following conditions:
- Avoid entering the girl's bathroom on the left of the school's 2nd floor at any point of the game.
- After defeating Typhoon at the Medal Dig Site, speak to Dr. Medarot to obtain the "Name-Tag" item. This is required to access the room she is found in.
- Inside Nae's room, do not wander in the restricted area at the top and steal the King Pharaoh parts.
- Whenever the Observatory becomes available, go inside and talk to the receptionist on the first floor to buy a Star Piece.
- After completing the City Tournament, talk to Nae and accept her request to help with testing a Medarot Part. She will then loan Hikaru the Heal Angel part "Angel Leg". Equip the part and speak to her again to Robattle her. She will use three Medarots with a mix of Pastel Fairy Bunnyheart, LadyJet and Heal Angel parts.
- After completing the District Tournament, speak to Nae again and she will ask to test another Medarot part. Answer "Yes" to receive the Heal Angel part "Angel Body". Equip and speak to her again to initiate another Robattle.
- When Nae asks if the part is an improvement, answer "Yes".
- If Hikaru successfuly performed the tests, Nae can be found in front of the Observatory. When spoken to, she will mention that being closer to the stars will make one's wish more likely to come true. Answer "Yes" to her question.
- During the Ten Days of Darkness, give the Flowercharge parts "Solar Laser" to the teacher in the school's science class, and then "Roots" to the nurse. If not done in that order, the condition to Nae's endings will be broken.
- After defeating Beast Master, go to Harbor Town and answer "No" to Kirara's question. If the player has satisfied the condition for Nae's ending, the game will continue as normal. If not, the Chick Seller will say something about a "big catch" after Kirara leaves and the game will play the credits sequence.
- Go to Observatory and speak to Nae on the right of the second floor. Giving her the Star Piece will trigger the ending.
After the credits are done, Nae can be found in her usual spot in the Medarot Laboratory. When talked to, she will go to Hikaru's room at his house. Talking to her will have her gift Acehorn's parts.
Medarot 2[edit]
At the beginning of Medarot 2, a busy Dr. Medarot suggests Ikki to see Nae if he wants to learn more about Medarots. Interrupting a spat between Ikki and an employee guarding access to her room, Nae greets Ikki and invites him to her research lab. Once inside, she invites Ikki to check out the upcoming Elemental-series Medarots.
Nex to Nae's lab is a room with the Bat, Kappa, Mouse, Chameleon, Rabbit and Monkey medals. At various points of the story, Ikki can return to Nae's lab and collect a medal of his choice. The opportunities to do so are:
- After defeating The Screws at school.
- When returning from Mt. Odoro Marsh
- After defeating her in the Medalink
- When Ikki acquires the Wings of Wind from her
- After consulting D. Medarot on what to do after missing the boat to Medarot Island
- During the Partstun Rally.
Medarot R[edit]
Nae is a receptionist at her grandfather's laboratory. She contributes to the Hyper Medarot Tournament offering the complete Wonder Angel set for the winner, including a female Tinpet and an Angel Medal.
After the tournament finals, Nae appears to greet Teacher Jick revealing that he is actually a disciple of Dr. Medarot and director of the Medarotters company.
She is also the Medarotter that Ikki can battle at the rank 49; She uses Wind Cecil, Flame Tisala and Earth Chrono from Elemental series.
Medarot 3[edit]
After speaking to Dr. Medarot about the strange electromagnetic wave that wiped the Medarotch data, Ikki decides to go to Nae's room in the Medarot laboratory. Nae tells him she heard about the accident and offers him Medalias for his medals. If the player says they don't know how to equip Medalias, Nae will explain how to and what purpose the Medalias serve. She will also let Ikki pick one of three Medals: the Witch Medal, the Heel Medal or the Hero Medal.
In Chapter 2, Nae is found in the left room of the Medarot Company building after Ikki acquires the access badge from Kirara. When spoken to, she offers to replace Ikki's starter medarot's part with a Medachange-capable upgrade (Saikachis in the Kabuto version and Dorcus in the Kuwagata version) and initiate a test battle between Ikki's new medarot and her Dear Idol. Wheter Ikki succeeds or loses, Nae is satisfied with the outcome of the test and lets him keep the new parts. After this is done, Ikki can go back to Nae's room in the Medarot Laboratory and collect either of the medal he did not choose in Chapter 1.
In the anime[edit]
Medarot Damashii[edit]
Nae is a major character in Medarot Damashii, making her debut in the first episode where she offers Ikki the upgraded Medarotch model and gives him the Saikachis parts for Metabee. In this continuity, Nae worked at the Medarot Company as a high-schooler but felt it "missed something" and started her own Medarot repair and maintenance shop with her custom Medarot Honey. She is a source of great support to Ikki and friends throughout the whole series and views the rise of the Death Medarots with great concern.

Notes[edit]
- According to Hirano Kana's notes on the development of Medarot 2, Nae in Medarot 2 was originally written in Medarot 2 to still have a crush on Hikaru, but she was told by someone in production that "unwise to drag out a romantic line from their elementary school days". As such, her relationship with Hikaru has been phased out.
