Dorcus (ドークス), known in English as Roks, is a stag beetle-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot 3 and is an upgrade to Rokusho. His name was taken from the scientific name of Antaeus Giant Stag Beetle (Dorcus anteaus).

Description[edit]

Dorcus is a Medarot similar to a Stag Beetle. Being a KWG-type, it is mostly focused on grappling and scanning techniques, which makes it suitable to wear grapple-based medals, specially the Kuwagata one. However, his medachange form allows it to also shoot both antiair and antisea missiles to its opponents, and it can also move effectively in rough terrains.

In the games[edit]

Note: In Medarot 3 and 4 stats, including Medachange, a stat listed as a / b (for example 1 / 2) means that the stat a belongs to Medarot 3, while the stat b belongs to Medarot 4.

In Medarot 3[edit]

Ikki Tenryou appears with Rokusho as his Medarot prior to the Kuwagata version of the game, but soon he replaces his parts with Dorcus' ones, specifically designed by Dr. Medarot as a gift to Ikki, which enable him to perform a Medachange.

In Medarot 4[edit]

Its model number is now KWG-5.

Dorcus appears as Ikki's first Medabot in the Kuwagata version, already upgraded from Rokusho.

In Medarot DS[edit]

Its model number is now KWG05-M. It can only be acquired via an event held between May 27th and June 7th, 2010, or by winning another player via Wifi who uses this Medarot.

In Medarot 7[edit]

Roks can be obtained in the Kuwagata version of the game. You must defeat the Medal Hunters' Captain Ikki Tenryou, and after winning against him, he will give it to you.

This gives the player two options on upgrading Rokusho.

In Medarot 8[edit]

The "C" was added at the end of its model number to signify having a Medachange.

In the anime[edit]

Dorcus appears as a character in Medarot Damashii, but with no relation to Rokusho.
