Rollstar (ロールスター), known in English as Stingray, is a crayfish-type Medarot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.
Description[edit]
Rollstar is a bright red Medarot with a lobster/crayfish motif. It has wheels on its feet (hence the "Roll" in its name), and can fire lasers from its claw-like hands.
The name comes from a combination of "roll" and "lobster", but the name is always spelled "Rollstar" when printed in English in Japanese media. (-star and -ster are written the same way in Japanese.) Though it obviously takes inspiration from lobsters, it's officially listed as a crayfish Medarot, which gives it its RAY model number.
The English name Stingray comes directly from the model number. The name is also spelled Stingaray on some merchandise.
In the games[edit]
Rollstar is a wheeled Medarot that specializes in optical attacks. In Medarot 1, 2, and 2 Core, it uses powerful but inaccurate Laser attacks, while in Medarot Navi it uses Beam. The speed of its leg parts allow it to balance the high charge and cooldown time of its attacks.
In Medarot 1, 2, and 2 Core, Rollstar's parts all have the Optical attribute, making it match perfectly with the Tortoise Medal.
In Medarot 1[edit]
Rollstar is the signature Medarot used by Hikaru's rival, Yuuki. Its parts can be obtained from battles with Yuuki, or bought from a convenience store near the Robottle World Championship stadium. Although rare, it can also be obtained from random battles with fishermen in the seaside cave at the beginning of the game.
In this game, Rollstar has some of the fastest legs available, but its arm parts have extremely low armor and can be easily taken out.
Rollstar served as the mascot and starting Medarot in Medarot 1 Parts Collection 2, where the player controls Yuuki instead of Hikaru.

In Medarot 2[edit]
In Medarot 2, Rollstar's parts are not normally obtainable and must be transferred over from Medarot 1. It was replaced by the new RAY-type, Hoppingstar.
In Medarot R[edit]
Rollstar is available very early in the game, as its parts can be purchased at the store in the starting area (although they are more expensive). Despite being a wheeled-type Medarot, its legs use a bipedal running animation. Is also obtainable from fighting the Select Corp Vice-Captain that is ranked opponent number 40.
In Medarot 2 Core[edit]
In this remake, Rollstar replaces all instances of Hoppingstar, and Hoppingstar is not included in the game. Here, Rollstar is mainly used by a boy named Hachiro in Medaropolis.
[edit]
Rollstar appears again in Medarot Navi using its design from the Medarotter Rintarou manga. Its head can be found shortly after arriving, while the three other parts are given to Kasumi after completing the Medatown block near the top of Cluster.
In Medarot 8[edit]
Rollstar makes a reappearance in Medarot 8 as a DLC-exclusive Medarot. It appears along with Kantaros and Mach Massive in the first DLC mission, which can be downloaded for free.
Its model number is now RAY00.
In the anime[edit]
