This page describes the Medarot model found in Medarot 9 and Medarot S. For other Metabee models, see Metabee. For information on the character itself, see Metabee (character).
Metabee (メタビー), short for Metal Beetle (メタル・ビートル), is the original rhino beetle-type Medarot. The model number KBT01-M specifically refers to the version of Metabee that features heavily in the storyline of Medarot 9's Kabuto version.
Description[edit]
This version of Metabee is identical to the KBT00-M model that appeared from Medarot DS to Medarot 8, with the model number being the main difference between them.
The model number was most likely changed due to its yellow coloration resembling the KBT-1 model used by Ikki in Medarot 2, rather than Hikaru's KBT-0 model from Medarot 1. The change also facilitated the addition of an alternate brown-colored Metabee (resembling KBT-0) under the model number KBT00-M.
Like other Metabee models, this Metabee is a shooting-oriented Medarot based on a Japanese rhinoceros beetle, with missile launchers on its head representing the beetle's branching horns. It can use a variety of shooting-type attacks, and its KWG-type counterpart is the KWG01-M model of Rokusho.
In the games[edit]
Like other versions of Metabee, it has a Missile attack on its head, Rifle on its right arm, and Gatling on its left.
In Medarot 9[edit]
Unlike previous games where Metabee was almost always the player's starting Medarot, Medarot 9 features Metabee in an antagonistic role. It is exclusive to the Kabuto version of the game, and the Kuwagata version features KWG00-M Rokusho in its place.
Its stats have been changed slightly, but this Metabee's abilities are otherwise identical to KBT00-M's in Medarot 8: a Missile attack on its head, a Snipe-capable Rifle attack on the right, and a reasonably powerful Gatling attack on its left. its legs have the "Charge Shot" ability, which increases the Shooting and Power stats of its shooting attacks by +5 when at 100% charge.
He is found when Tenma and Zipper approach the Mine shaft, apparently guarding the place, and telling them to leave. After beating him once, you can challenge him again for his parts as many times as you like if you want Zipper to downgrade to Metabee.
In Medarot S[edit]
Metabee is a 3-star Medarot that can be obtained from the starting Gacha, as well as other Gachas that can give 3-star Medarots.
