Medarot 3 Parts Collection: A Challenge from Z is an add-on game for Medarot 3, released for the Game Boy Color in 2000. Just like the other Parts Collections, this side game involves the player engaging in Robattles with various Medarotters to collect parts, which can then be traded to the main game.

This was the last Parts Collection released. Subsequent games, like Medarot 4 and 5, didn't have a Parts Collection, a trend that continued in future titles. As a result, players had to rely solely on trading between the Kabuto and Kuwagata versions to complete their collections.

Plot

Ikki Tenryou must chase Z Mask and Z Lady throughout Robattle World, but he can't call Metabee or Rokusho for help because the Z duo stole his Medarotch and gave it to Yuuki.

After asking Ikki some questions, Z Mask gives him one of two Medarotchs:

  • White Medarotch: Contains a Kabuto Medal and a Kuwagata Medal, with the KBT-3 model Saikachis and the KWG-3 model Dorcus (If Ikki answered 'yes' to Z Mask's questions).
  • Black Medarotch: Contains a Kabuto Medal and a Kuwagata Medal, with the KBT-35 model Blackbeetle and the KWG-35 model Blackstag (If Ikki answered 'no' to Z Mask's questions).

Afterward, Z Mask teleports Ikki to Robattle World and challenges him to go through all nine villages. Ikki discovers that the Roborobo Gang is inside Robattle World and must fight them as he progresses.
