Rokusho (Anime)

Rokusho is a Medabot character in the Medarot anime series and manga series. In the anime and manga he was always Dr. Fushihara's Medarot. In the games it is commonly used by Hikaru Agata, Ikki Tenryou, Azuma Amakura and Soruto.

Rokusho was once the Medabot companion of Dr. Hushi, a respected scientist and Medabot researcher, along with the robotic parrot Baton. Sadly, their happy life together ended when a fire consumed Hushi's home, with the doctor apparently perishing in the blaze and Baton disappearing as well. Rokusho thus took to wandering alone, wearing a ragged brown cloak and occasionally coming to the aid of those in need.

Metabee and Ikki Tenryou first encountered Rokusho after watching him save a dog from drowning. Metabee quickly became eager to engage Rokusho in a Robattle, only to learn that the Stag Beetle-type warrior didn't believe in battling for fun or sport. However, he did offer the more hot-headed Metabee tips in a subsequent Robattle. He would go on to befriend a widow who treasured a tree her late husband had cared for, and fought to defend it from the Rubberobo Gang.

Rokusho was later unexpectedly reunited with Baton, who indicated that Dr. Aki had caused the fire that resulted in Dr. Hushi's apparent demise. Driven into a rage, Rokusho attempted to take revenge, and despite Metabee's attempts to stop him overcame him by unlocking the power of the Medaforce. However, a weakened Rokusho was then captured by the Rubberobo Gang through their employment of Robo-Emperor, and only saved by Metabee unlocking his own Medaforce powers. It came out that Baton's memories had been tampered with by Dr. Meta-Evil, the true criminal responsible for Hushi's apparent death. Rokusho subsequently departed with Baton to look into their creator's research, though not before receiving a new white cloak from Aki's granddaughter Karin. The pair eventually discovered that Dr. Hushi was not the original creator of Medabots, as had long been believed, but that the original Medabots had been produced by an ancient civilization predating humanity.

Rokusho rejoined Metabee and his friends during Operation: Beetle Mania, a plot by Meta-Evil that caused all Medabots with clone Kabuto Medals to go haywire. After dispatching a set of Belzelgas, whom he deemed innocents controlled by evil Medafighters, he led the group to Metabee, and Dr. Meta-Evil realized that Rokusho possessed a Rare Medal due to his resistance to the effects of Meta-Evil's machinery. They were joined by Arcbeetle-who also possessed a Rare Medal-and Space Medafighter X, with the three beetle Medabots joining forces against the monstrous Giganko Medabot. Despite combining their Medaforces, they failed to stop the rampaging giant, and it fell to Ikki and Metabee alone to defeat it.

During the World Robattle Tournament, Rokusho returned seeking to thwart Meta-Evil's plans, only to be caught up in the Medaforce effect like all the other Medabots. This resulted in a vision of the ancient Medabot civilization, in which Rokusho served as general of an army of Zorin Medabots opposed by General Metabee and his Bayonets. A battle between the two resulted in their civilization's destruction, with only Metabee surviving the conflict. After the vision faded Rokusho awoke with the other Medabots, and joined them in stopping Meta-Evil.
