The gang originally existed for [[Typhoon|Taiyo]]'s "[[Ten Days of Darkness]]" plan, but even after the defeat of their original leader, the group's existence persisted over the years and were commonly used as pawns by several different antagonists throughout the series.

Their uniform consists in black rubber suits with yellow antennas, but after their defeat in the [[Medarot 1|first game]], the group experienced financial problems and the grunts needed to wear a different green uniform in [[Medarot 2]], [[Medarot R|R]] and [[Medarot 3|3]] and only returning to the iconic black uniform in [[Medarot 4]]. This fact, however, is ignored in [[Medarot 2 Core]] due to the influence of the [[Medarot (anime)|anime]].
