Medarot DS (メダロットDS), Kabuto and Kuwagata Versions, is a Medabots RPG game developed by Rocket Company for the Nintendo DS. The game was announced in September 1, however no release date has been announced yet.

Known story

The main character, this time, will be Azuma Amakura (アマクラアズマ amakura azuma), who somehow is introduced to the world of robattling with a KBT or a KWG-type Medabot. For doing so, he is given to a cellphone, maybe as a reminiscent of wikipedia:Keitai Denjuu Telefang, a game that the developer bought licences about (also known as the Pokémon Diamond and Jade GBC bootleg), and that has the same functions of a Medawatch.

Only two new Medabots have been confirmed: GunNose (KBT-type) and Sanjuuro (KWG-type). However, other two new Medabots have been confirmed but without their names. Apparently they should take part of the STG and KLN-types and Azuma's rival, Kohaku Himuro (ヒムロコハク himuro kohaku) seems to be using them. Also, it seems that new medals will appear, with the Code Medal being confirmed.

Other Medabots confirmed to be in are Saikachis (and, by consequence, Roks), Peppercat, Totalizer, Metabee (however no sprite or image was shown of him; instead, only an image) and Rokusho, Noctobat, Bass-Troyer (from Medarot 3 and 4) and Dr. Bokchoy.

Other characters confirmed are Sakura Ooshima (オオシマサクラ ooshima sakura), Chitose Asakusa (アサクサチトセ asakusa chitose) and Not Daitoku (ダイトクノット daitoku notto).

In terms of gameplay, the battles will be in 3D and the game will use the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi capabilities; thus, robattling via Wi-Fi was already confirmed. The menu has new options. The most things seen in a menu were the Medabots, Medals, Parts and Library (this is, in Medarot 4 and Medarot 5). This new game brings, on its menu, Medals, Settings (apparently the Medabots menu), Parts, Mail, Afuri and Items. It also has a My Data and Save options.
