In the Kabuto version, Dechotom is given to [[Koishimaru Tensan|Koishimaru]] by [[Shigeyuki]] (a [[Medarot]] researcher) at the beginning of the game. It is used by [[Hiko Tamayasu|Hiko]] in the Kuwagata version.

In-battle, its head part fires a [[Missile]], its right arm is a [[Rifle]] that fires 3 small shots in different directions, and its left arm is a [[Gatling]] attack that fires 3 shots in quick succession. Its legs are bipedal (running-type) and are geared heavily toward shooting attacks.

Like [[Bayonet]] compared to [[Metabee (KBT-1)|Metal Beetle]], Dechotom is stronger and more resilient than [[Chrotojil|Kurotojiru]], being able to take hits that could easily damage Kurotojiru  or Metal Beetle.

In this [[Medarot G (manga)|manga]], [[Koishimaru]] receives Dechotom's parts from [[Shigeyuki]] to use as a replacement body for [[Chrotojil|Omeda]] after his parts were destroyed in a battle at the end of the [[Medarot 5 (manga)|Medarot 5]] series. After competing in the Densuke Land tournament, he returns to using Chrotojil's parts once the repairs are completed.
In the manga, his model number is KBT-1, much like Bayonet in its first appearance in [[Medarot 2]]
