'''Metabee''' (メタビー) is the original KBT-model [[Medarot]], based on a rhino beetle. Specifically, KBT-1 refers to the slightly updated version used by [[Ikki Tenryou]] in [[Medarot 2]].

== Description ==

As a KBT-type Medarot, Metabee is naturally suited to the [[Kabuto Medal]] and specializes in shooting attacks. Like its predecessor [[Metabee (KBT-0)|KBT-0]], Metabee's head resembles that of a rhino beetle with its single split-ended horn. It also features a much brighter color scheme than the older Medarot. 

Metabee's attack style revolves around its many styles of shooting weapons. The Head part contains a Missile with perfect accuracy and high power. The Right Arm uses a semi-automatic Rifle for quick and accurate strikes. The Left Arm features a rapid-fire Gatling for heavy assault. And its bipedal are perfect for dominating Grass and Forest battlefields.

=== In Medarot 2 ===

During the events of Medarot 2, Metabee is Ikki's first Medarot, given to him by Hikaru Agata who sells Ikki a [[Tinpet]] and parts instead of a Retort Curry after his mother sends him to the store with a sum of money. However, despite his best efforts, he can't make Metabee work, as he was given no accompanying medal. After his subsequent scolding by his mom, his father brings him back a [[Kabuto Medal]], who unbeknownst to Ikki, had been given to his father by the elusive [[Phantom Retort]].

In this game  Metabee's model number is KBT-0, the same as [[Metabee (KBT-0)|Hikaru's Metabee]]. with notable differences being stronger armor and the 'Missile' part being of the Shooting or Speed attributes giving him full compatibility with the [[Kabuto Medal]]

Is obtainable at the start of the game.

It's also used by Rintarou in the rank 2 battle.

=== In Medarot 3 ===

In the events of Medarot 3, Metabee appears as a default character in the game, already in the ownership of Ikki. Shortly after his parts are upgraded and replaced by the new KBT-30 ''[[Saikachis]]'' series Medaparts.

Metabee is a rebellious, hotheaded, and brash Medarot that speaks in a sarcastic, stubborn and stingy manner --- similar to his counterpart from the anime.

=== In Medarot 4 ===

Metabee doesn't appear as the character's main Medarot (it must be traded from Medarot 3), as Ikki already upgraded Metabee to [[Saikachis]]. But it does appears as an opponent Medarot. One example of this is a scientist in the [[Medarot Corporation]] who has a Metabee with a [[King Medal]].

As these games are a remake of the Medarot 2 games, the context where Metabee is a character is the same as in Medarot 2: sold to Ikki while appropriating his dinner money. The only major difference is that his serial number is correctly stated as KBT-1.

In the television series, Metabee is a KBT-type Medarot (Model KBT-11220 in the English dub) belonging to [[Ikki Tenryou]], specializing in projectile weaponry and revolver tactics. Although outdated, he also possesses a rare [[Kabuto Medal]] which grants him to access the [[Medaforce]]. He is known to be quite aggressive and stubborn, and often causes problems due to his headstrong personality. He is often disobedient to his owner Ikki, but shares a close bond with him, and so, Ikki trusts him deeply.

In the [[Medarot Damashii]] season, Ikki changes Metabee's parts to the new [[Medachange]]-capable [[Saikachis]] model, while keeping his name the same.
