Name origin

Okay, so here's the deal... Medadictionary states that this guy is named in reference to a character from Juken Sentai Gekiranger named "Master Sha-Fu" (マスター・シャーフー), who's an anthropomorphic caracal. After talking to one of the fansubbers for the show, I'm pretty sure that the character's name origin is a combination of the Chinese shī fu (师傅) which means "master", and the Japanese sounds for cats hissing (shaa and fuu). So, there should be no reason to spell it Xia now, but if anyone has any other ideas on the name origin then feel free to share! ~ Kimbles 09:54, 26 May 2015 (MDT)
