STG-series Medarots
STG-series Medarots are one of two series used by rival characters in the Medarot games, KLN being the other. This series of Medarots is based upon the saber-tooth tiger family of big cats. They appear in Kabuto Version games, thwarting the player's KBT-model starter Medarot.
Medarotters known for using STG-series as their primary Medarots are Kouji Karakuchi, Yuuzuru Oozora, Kohaku Himuro and Ikki Tenryou.
Series Basics[edit]
Aesthetics[edit]
STG-series Medarots are mostly tan and white in color. Their heads have two downward-protruding mandibles as a reference to the "saber teeth" of the saber-tooth tiger; other feline accents such as ears, tails and paws are present, though not to the degree of CAT-series models like Peppercat.
Abilities[edit]
Designed to match up against KBT-series Medarots, STG-models can deploy anti-Shot traps from their head parts. Their right arms feature large, powerful claws while their left arms mount agile hammers; one could call them "left-handed" compared to most other Medrots. Two legs are the norm, though they seem to feature reverse-joint attributes that allow them to bound large distances.
The only known Medachange-capable model is Excise. It can lower into a four-legged type but sees no changes in its attacks.
Examples[edit]
STG-0 Smilodonad[edit]
This series' debut model is the signature Medarot of Koji Karakuchi in Medarot 2. First encountered in an early chapter, Koji's Smilodonad is a frequent opponent throughout the game.
STG-1 Excise[edit]
The Medachange-capable upgrade to Koji's Smilodonad appears in Medarot 3 and 4. It can lower into a four-legged form that bounds quickly across rough terrain.
Ligingra[edit]
Seen in Shingata Medarot.
STG02-M Machairodus[edit]
A brand-new STG-model appears in Medarot DS featuring a cool blue color scheme. DS's Kabuto Version features Machairodus under the command of rival Kohaku Himura; the tie-in manga instead sees Ikki Tenryou use one named "Ronoji", acting like his old Rokusho. Its sword now uses an Assassin action while its traps target Head parts instead of shooting attacks.
STG03-M Scimitar Tooth[edit]
From Medarot 7 comes Scimitar Tooth. While identical in shape, Scimitar wears the classic yellow-and-blue colors of Smilodonad rather than Machairodus's pale blues.
STG04-M Seivatalis[edit]
From Medarot S comes Seivatalis, the latest STG-series Medarot. It retains the trapping abilities as previous models, but now is even stronger then Smilodonad, using simillar Melee weaponry, and is able to set Head Traps, its R. Arm is a High Charge Blade that consumes Medaforce, allowing it to take on heavilly armored Medarot like Jhuk, and its L. Arm is now Clock Rage, allowing its left arm to do more damage based on its action time. Its legs are the usual for this series, being Bipedal.
