Other cards in the Medarot Card Game

There are 6 different Energy and Effect cards in the Medarot Card Game. These cards were only released in the "Basic Kit" starter sets, but are required to play the game using standard rules.

Energy cards[edit]

These cards are required to pay the energy cost for using Part and Medarotter cards. Before they can be used, they must be placed in the player's "energy stock" area, and the player can only add one of each energy type to their stock each turn. Used energy cards are set aside until the end of the turn, then added back into the available stock at the start of the next.

There are four types of energy, which are used to pay the costs for different types of cards. If a player doesn't have enough of a certain type of energy in their stock, they can use other energy cards in their stock to count as 1/2 of the correct type of energy.

Shooting Energy 射撃エネルギ- Used to pay the energy cost for ranged attack parts.
Melee Energy 格闘エネルギー Used to pay the energy cost for melee attack parts.
Defense Energy 防御エネルギー Used to pay the energy cost for defense and recovery parts.
Support Energy 応援エネルギー Used to pay the energy cost for support parts and Medarotter cards.

Effect and Evasion cards[edit]

These cards have unique effects, and the player is only allowed to have 4 of each card in their deck.

Effect Card エフェクトカード Used as a marker on Medarots that are afflicted with status effects.

In order to inflict a status effect, the attacking player must have a spare Effect Card in their hand and attack the opponent with a part capable of inflicting a status effect.

The Effect Card is then moved from the attacker's hand to the part that was attacked, and the effect of the status effect can be carried out.

Evasion Card 回避カード Can be used when one of the defending player's parts is being attacked by the opponent to instantly reduce the damage to zero. (The attacked part is still tapped.)

The defending player must have an Evasion Card in their hand in order to evade, and the card is discarded afterwards.
