Mary (マリー) is a character introduced in Medarot 8. A former secretary of the Laurel Detective Agency, Mary left to form her own detective bureau although she still occasionally comes to pester Laurel. Despite her tense relationship with her former boss, Mary is supportive of Salt and his friends.

Upset by Laurel's obliviousness to her romantic advances, Mary developed an alter-ego known as Phantom Thief Jill (怪盗ジル) to get Laurel to take notice of her. By the start of Medarot 8, Jill has successfully stolen multiple valuable jewels and artwork, and has recruited three thieves of some notoriety (Pasilla, Cayenne and Trinidad) to assist with her operation. Jill holds the philosophy that "Theft is an aesthetic" and sends warning to the Select Corp before striking, which are in turn relayed to the Laurel Detective Agency.
