Luminous Stag (ルミナススタッグ) is a stag beetle-type Medarot that first appeared in Medarot Navi and is the upgraded version of Sonic Stag. Its in the Kuwagata Version of the game; its Kabuto Version counterpart is Kaiser Beetle, upgrade to Granbeetle.

Description

Though dark blue in color, Luminous Stag is otherwise similar in appearance and identical in function to Sonic Stag: a Head with Conceal, a Right Arm with a Sword and a Left Arm with a Hammer. Its legs are Two-Legged(though it won't move. They've made mistakes!).

The primary differences between the two lie in strength and accuracy: Luminous Stag's Parts have a higher attack power than Sonic Stag's but with reduced accuracy. Its Drives, on the other hand, are all more accurate, with the Drive A Sword receiving boosted power as well - but some Medaforce is required to enact a Power Medachange, heading off a potentially unfair advantage.

The only other differences between the two Stags are in the Head Parts (of which Luminous has one less use), Leg Parts (Sonic's have higher Defense) and Drive A (Sonic's Sword is a Strike action while Luminous's is a Berserk action). The player is free to either switch to Luminous Stag for its powerful attacks or continue using Sonic Stag for its reliability; the two can also be deployed together, and even their Medals are cross-compatible.

In the games

In Medarot Navi

Luminous Stag first appears in the second-to-last module. After defeating the sixth Space Robo general, the strange Medarot comes online and attacks; Kasumi, along with Shiden and three other allies, must Robattle it and its fellow security Medarots to shut it down.

After defeating him the player receives all of his parts along with his male Tinpet and B-Kuwagata Medal.
