Hikaru Agata is a major personality within the Medarot series, debuting as the player character in Medarot 1 and recurring in almost every entry afterwards. He is known as Henry in English-translated Medabots media.

In Medarot 1
Hikaru is the protagonist of Medarot 1. His adventure begins when his dog Bonaparte finds a Medal and shortly thereafter gets himself a matching starter kit - Metal Beetle for a Kabuto Medal or Head Scissors for a Kuwagata Medal, respectively. Thus begins an adventure that takes him near two girls vying for his attention, the spicy tomboy Kirara and Doctor Aki's homey granddaughter Nae, and ending with him facing down the dangerous weapon Medarot, Beast Master.
In Medarot 2 and 2 Core
While the title of main character has passed to Ikki Tenryou, the older Hikaru still plays an important role - in fact, he now plays two roles. By night he assumes a new identiy: Kaitou Retort, a mysterious masked man who battles the Roborobo Gang by delivering unto Ikki the resources he needs to come out ahead.
By day, however, Hikaru works part time at the 24 Hop Mart, giving advice to Ikki and even selling him a brand-new Metabee or Rokusho... not realizing he'd taken the boy's dinner money in the process of secretly fulfilling Doctor Aki's mission to start Ikki on his way. When not at work Hikaru studies for college, plays with his Medarots and generally tries not to wreck his love life with Kirara.
Hikaru appears during the postgame. He is one of the last legacy characters to be recruited into Kasumi's party and, after all this time, still uses Metal Beetle or Head Scissors as his Leader.
