Azuma Amakura (アマクラアズマ Amakura Azuma) is the fourth main protagonist from the main series, being the central character of Medarot DS and Medarot 7. He is treated as Ikki Tenryou's direct successor in Medarot DS, similar to Ikki and Hikaru in Medarot 2.
Similar to Ikki, he is the protagonist of more than one mainline game; however, Medarot 7 is not a direct sequel to DS but a parallel story ignoring the events of the past game, creating two different interpretations of Azuma's story.

Chapter 1
Azuma appears, late for school because his partner Metabee played games all night, causing both of them to sleep late. He finds out from Taruto that The Willows-- Sakura and Nut attacked, beating Chitose and Noire, taking her left arm, for questioning the duo's morality. After complaining about Taruto overly explaining the situation, Azuma challenges Sakura to get his friend's part back, and when he sends out Metabee to do battle with P.C. and Keith, he finds out that Metabee slept, too tired and lazy to do anything.
It takes Nut to taunt Azuma and Metabee and belittle them for Metabee to say that Azuma is no fool, and encourages Azuma by saying that even though they don't get along, they are still partners. Metabee attacks, finishing P.C. off with his Missiles.
After that Kohaku Himuro and Rokusho are seen watching the battle.
