STG-series Medarots
STG-series Medarots are one of two series used by rival characters in the Medarot games, KLN being the other. This series of Medarots is based upon the saber-tooth tiger family of big cats. They appear in Kabuto Version games, thwarting the player's KBT-model starter Medarot.
Series Basics
Aesthetics
STG-series Medarots are mostly tan and white in color. Their heads have two downward-protruding mandibles as a reference to the "saber teeth" of the saber-tooth tiger; other feline accents such as ears, tails and paws are present, though not to the degree of CAT-series models like Peppercat.
Abilities
Designed to match up against KBT-series Medarots, STG-models can deploy anti-Shot traps from their head parts. Their right arms feature large, powerful claws while their left arms mount agile hammers; one could call them "left-handed" compared to most other Medrots. Two legs are the norm, though they seem to feature reverse-joint attributes that allow them to bound large distances.
The only known Medachange-capable model is Excise. It can lower into a four-legged type but sees no changes in its attacks.
Examples
STG-0 Smilodonad
This series' debut model is the signature Medarot of Koji Karakuchi in Medarot 2. First encountered in an early chapter, Koji's Smilodonad is a frequent opponent throughout the game.
STG-1 Excize
The Medachange-capable upgrade to Koji' Smilodonad appears in Medarot 3 and 4. It can lower into a four-legged form that bounds quickly across rough terrain.
Rigingura
Seen in Shingata Medarot.
STG02-M Machairodus
A brand-new STG-model appears in Medarot DS Kabuto Version under the command of rival Kohaku Higuma. The tie-in manga instead sees Ikki Tenryou use one named "Ronoji", acting like his old Rokusho.
STG03-M Scimitar Tooth
A variant of Machairodus appears in Medarot 7. Details to come as more information on the game is made available.
