Hachiro Awano (アワノハチロウ Awano Hachirou) is a major character in the Medarot series, introduced in Medarot 2 and returning in Medarot 3 and 4. He serves as an unofficial fifth member of Ikki's group, though he is often absent in side-games, spin-offs, and adaptations.

A spoiled rich boy and childhood friend of Kouji and Karin, Hachiro's behavior over time led his friends to distance themselves, leaving him isolated except for the company of his loyal butler, Hitsuji. However, Ikki eventually befriends him, helping to mend his relationship with Kouji and Karin, rekindling their childhood friendship.
