In the games

Medarot 1

The Chick Seller can be found near Hikaru's house. When talked to, he demonstrates unusual awareness of the RoboRobo Gang's activities and current events. During the City Tournament, he is found at the Local Shrine, selling Hell Phoenix's part set at a discount.

In the ending, the Chick Seller directs two Select Corps officier to arrest Taiyo and briefs Hikaru, congratulating him on his deeds and advising him to keep the details of his adventures a secret to the public. After this, the Chick Seller's role in the ending depends on Hikaru's values romantic points with his two potential love interests:

  • If Hikaru fails the requirements for both Kirara and Nae, the Chick Seller will run up after Kirara rejects Hikaru at the Harbor Town andd gift him a "Blue Chick" as a consolation prize. The item has no use.
  • If Hikaru meets the requirements for Kirara but not Nae and rejects Kirara's advance in the ending, the Chick Seller will quip that "There's always a bigger catch", after which the ending credits roll.

In Medarot Perfect Edition, the Chick Seller can be Robattled if the player reach his ending. He uses a trio of female Medarots with highly leveled Medals.

In the anime

The Chick Seller is a recurring character in the first anime series, starting in the first episode where he gives a speech to Ikki that inspires him to rescue Arika and face The Rockers head-on, leading to his acquisition of Metabee. Though simply trying to hack his wares, the Chick Seller's words are invariably mistaken by the characters as inspirational words of widsom.
