Arcbeetle

Arcbeetle is a KBT-type Medabot that first appears in Medarot R. It is based on a Hercules beetle. Arcbeetle appears in the Medabots Medabots (anime), where it is the Medabot used by Space Medafighter X.

Arcbeetle's name comes from the electric arc that forms between its two horns when it fires its trademark beam attack.

Description

Arcbeetle is the Medabot commanded by Space Medafighter X, although he is also seen to be used by his alternate identities Henry and Phantom Renegade. Arcbeetle is proficient in both long and short range attacks which are further augmented by strong spirit and bond with his Medafighter. Arcbeetle is seen to possess a Kabuto medal at the 4th-tier evolution. Although he says little during his appearances, he is strong and heroic, loyal to his Medafighter and fiercely resists criminals such as the Rubberobo Gang.

Arcbeetle possesses two different special moves. The first, his Tri-Cannon attack, allows Arcbeetle to blast fireballs at his opponents in three different directions via his Right- and Left-Arm Medaparts, the Ignition and Explode respectively. Arcbeetle's preferred finishing attack, however, utilizes his Head Medapart, the Prominence. Using the Prominence requires Arcbeetle to charge up for the subsequent blast by unlocking what is presumed to be an array of high-intensity solar photovoltaic modules. During Arcbeetle's Prominence "Power-Up Sequence" he cannot move and is therefore vulnerable to any strikes made by an enemy. Once power-up is complete, Arcbeetle can then utilize his Head Medapart to deliver to his enemies one devasting, concentrated blast of energy harnessed from "the Power of the Sun" as "the Pillar of Fire" that is The Prominence.

Miscellania

• The two horns on his head and chest can channel energy and fire it as a single burst of energy, dubbed "The Prominence" by Space Medafighter X.
• Triple-barreled lasers on his hands and feet, although the barrels on his feet do not fire.
• He's very fast and swift, despite his size. He is shown to be able to dodge bullets and catch Seeker Missiles.
• He's later revealed to possess a rare medal, and so is able to access to the Medaforce.

An upgraded version of Arcbeetle was later created, named Arcbeetle-Dash.
