Rokusho (ロクショウ), short for Head Scissors (ヘッドシザース), model KWG-0, is a Medarot belonging to Hikaru Agata, the central Medarot of Medarot 1 in Kuwagata version. He is commonly upgraded to the Tyrrellbeetle model.
In the games
Personality
He has a compassionate personality, and behaves like a samurai, being guided by a code of honor. He speakes in a similar formal manner as Ikki's Rokusho, but doesn't act in a standoffish way, preferring to try to understand others. After the events of the Ten Days Of Darkness, he survived, but has emotional scar and is more focused. He never talks to anyone else other than Ikki, Hikaru, Hikaru's Metabee and Kirara.
In Medarot 1 / Medarot Perfect Edition
A RoboRobo Gang grunt was searching for the rare Kuwagata Medal when he finally found it. Excited to show his boss, he was suddenly hit by a stick thrown by Hikaru Agata, who was playing with his dog, Bonaparte. The distraction caused the grunt to drop the Kuwagata Medal.
Seeing the dog approaching, the RoboRobo grunt panicked and fled, unaware that he had dropped the medal. Hikaru noticed the medal on the ground, picked it up, and decided to take it to Select Corp's lost and found.
Impressed by Hikaru's honesty, the Select Corp officer decided to let the boy keep the medal. At home, Hikaru showed the medal to his father, who was pleased to see his son finally interested in becoming a Medarotter. He then presented Hikaru with a Medarot Starter Set, which included a male Tinpet and the parts for the Head Scissors model.
With his father's help, Hikaru assembled Rokusho for the first time. After school, Hikaru used Rokusho in his first robattle against Yanma and Kubota from the Bad Kid Trio.
In Medarot 2 / Medarot 2 Core
Hikaru still has his old Head Scissors, which is first seen when Ikki Tenryou visits the condominium where Hikaru and Kirara Akita live.
Kirara is seen scolding Hikaru for not dedicating enough time to his studies. She forcibly takes Rokusho to her apartment to prevent Hikaru from getting distracted, leaving Hikaru depressed and Rokusho confused with women attitudes.
When Ikki is fleeing the Select Corps, he gets cornered. Kirara, in her alter-ego Retort Lady, appears and uses Rokusho to defeat the Select Corp.
Later, Hikaru, in his alter-ego Phantom Retort, helps Ikki face Dr. Hebereke. The villain reveals his greatest creation, the God Emperor. Hikaru and Rokusho manage to defeat two of the three God Emperors, but the last one reactivates and attacks by surprise, defeating Rokusho and destroying Hikaru's disguise.
Ikki can also robattle Phantom Retort in Medalink, where Hikaru uses three Rokushos. In Medarot 2 Core, however, Hikaru/Phantom Retort's Rokusho is always the KWG-1 model due to the absence of the first model in the game.
In Medarot R
Ikki can fight Hikaru in a series of optional but hidden Robattles. Hikaru never uses Metabee in any of these fights however, and Rokusho is often used alongside Shinsaber and Gobenkei.
In Medarot 3
In Medarot 3, there's a strange inconsistency regarding Hikaru's Medarot. In the Kuwagata versions of Medarot 1 and Medarot 2, Hikaru had a Rokusho, not a Metabee. However, in both versions of Medarot 3, he claims to have had a Metabee, which he upgrades to Arcbeetle in the game. This oversight is ignored in the next game.
In Medarot 4
Hikaru as Phantom Retort now uses his old Rokusho as a Tyrrellbeetle.
In Medarot Navi, Hikaru returns to using the old Head Scissors. But he upgrades him to Tyrrellbeetle in his Phantom Retort alter-ego.
In the manga
Medarot 1
Hikaru and Metabee first met Rokusho in Dr. Medarot's lab, being controlled by Taiyo and his men. Metabee inadvertently frees him, and the duo end up on friendly terms.
Rokusho is very polite, sometimes speaking in a formal samurai manner. As the story progresses, he stops to be too much formal and his personality becomes more lively. He is often teased due to being the most serious character in Medarot, contrasting with Metabee, who comes off as childlike. Rokusho acts somewhat like an older sibiling to Metabee, responding negatively when Hikaru's father complains about him. He hates using parts other than his own, and eventually becomes Hikaru's partner.
Rokusho past was explored in the manga in a dedicated chapter. Once then called Youhaku, he was Dr. Gengoro Fushihara's Medarot and lived together with Barton, a cyborg parrot, and Danny, a cyborg bug. One day, Dr. Fushihara was attacked by the RoboRobo Gang. Rokusho tried to fight back, but he was no match for the enemy’s Red Matador, and a cage containing a golden beetle, which Dr. Fushihara had been protecting to save it from extinction. The insect eventually escaped, letting Dr. Fushihara heartbroken, passing away afterwards due to illness. After that, Youhaku "locked the memories into a cocoon", forgetting about everything, even his own name.
At some point in the future, already under the name Rokusho, he wanders near Dr. Fushihara's laboratory and is found by Barton, who tells him Roborobo Gang kidnapped Danny to extract information about the Slough System. Even though without his memories, Rokusho decides to help and arrives at the RoboRobo Gang's secret base, meet again the same Red Matador that had defeated him in the past. During the fight, he regained all his memories back and is able to sliced the Red Matador and the secret base in an X-shape with his Chambara Sword. At this time, Rokusho's medal transformed into the adult form of a stag beetle. Afterward, Rokusho decided to look for the golden beetle in the summer.
Later, on when Hikaru participated in the World Robottle Tournament, Rokusho fight under Hikaru's team with Metabee and Sailormate, being the Team's MVP against England and USA. When Taiyo destroyed Metabee and injured Hikaru, Rokusho got separated from his friends and returned to battle Beast Master.
In the final battle at Select Building, Rokusho brutally defeats many Medarots, spreading their oil across the stage while shouting "Weak! Weak! Weak!", a total change from his regular polite manners. Severely damaged and with almost no energy in his body, Rokusho enters the fight clash between Metabee and Beast Master, severing the leg parts of the Roborobo Gang Medarot, cutting his power supply and deciding the battle.
Medarot 2
Ten years later, it's revealed later that Rokusho suffers from PTSD after encountering Beast Master and watching Metabee die. He meets Metabee playing with Ikki and co. and confuses the new Metabee with Hikaru's, but Metabee's fighting style convinces him otherwise. Later, He barges to the Karakuchi residence when he found out that Kouji reawakend Beast Master. Attempting to finish the job and kill Beast Master for good, he fights Ikki's Metabee in this state until he defeated Metabee in a brutal manner, causing Metabee to cry out. He finds Beast Master with Kouji, but Beast Master's kind actions make Rokusho find himself unable to kill him as Beast Master has no memory of the evil deeds that Taiyo had him do.
