This guide goes over the first Medarot game in details. We will be going over locations to visit, side objectives that can be completed, What enemies will be battled ... This guide is based on a written guide from CarlosP on Gamefaq (Credits at the end of the guide). this guide was written in spanish but I will be writing it in English. I hope that this guide can be usefull to you when trying to complete the game.
!Warning! This guide does contain ALL story elements for the entire game so there are HUGE spoilers up ahead. If you do not want the story to get spoiled (when you are playing the english patch for ex.), try the game out for yourself before reading. if you do get stuck however, then this guide will be sure to help you out.
Before we start
Medarot 1 has a lot of events and side objectives that can only be completed at certain point in the main story campaign. be sure to complete each of these objectives before continuing the story so you can get everything hthat the game has to offer.
This game also features 3 possible endings depending on the actions that you perfomr during your gameplay. without going over plot points, the endings you can obtain are the "Kirara ending", the "Nae ending" and the "Chick Seller ending" Nae's ending is the most difficult ending to pull off but rewards you with the UNI-0 Acehorn model and the Devil/Dragon Medal depending on which version you play. The "Kirara ending" is easier then Nae's ending and rewards you the PEN-0 Pinguen Model and the Angel/Ninja medal. If you meet none of the requirements for the two previous endings, you will get the "Chick Seller ending". This ending gives you a useless but pretty Blue Chick as a key-item.
Throughout this guide I will be going over the events you need to complete to get each ending. keep in mind that in order to get the reward at the end of the game you will have to complete a small post-game event to get the mentioned items. these will be explained in "chapter ... Post-game events".
With that out of the way, let's get this guide started!
Prologue: First steps
- Before the story starts you need to name your character. The default name is Hikaru, but if you want to name your character something else then that is completely fine but don't forget to press START after naming your character.
- Kirara will go over the basics of what a Medarot is and how they work. if you want a more detailed explanation on what a Medarot is then go over to this Guide for more info.
- You will start the game in your bedroom. go downstairs and talk to your Mother. She wants you to take your dog Bonaparte to the PARK.
- Leave your house and go to the park to find your dog Bonaparte. You play fetch with Bonaparte but accidentaly hit a member of the Roborobo gang. He runs away and drops a medal/
- retrieve the medal that was dropped and bring it to the Select Office in the town. it's a big building in the upper right corner of the map.
- the assistent will tell you to keep the medal as a reward for a good sport bringing it back. If you talk to her again you will recieve 5 RoboRobo medals. These are necessary if you want to flee a battle.
- Go back home and talk to your Father. He will give you a Tin-Pet and your first 4 parts, KBT-0 Metal Beetle or KWG-0 Head Scissors and $5,000. From this point onwards you can open the main menu (don't forget to save often!)
- Go to school and enter your classroom (second floor, middle room on the left). You should answer no to the question Kirara asks you if you're interested in getting Nae's ending.
- Head to the park afterwards and fight Yanma and Kubota (it doesn't matter if you win or lose). Likewise, answer no to their question if you want Nae's ending.
- The path to Harbor Town will now be open.
Chapter 1 - Harbor Town
- Head to Harbor Town and fend off surfer dudes. Since you only have one Medarot at this point, every loss will count as a game over and send you back to where you last saved. (Save often!)
- Note that the RoboRobo in the store will probably kill you (he uses two Coffinbats), but you lose the option to fight him later.
- Once you've gotten the hang of things and won some fights, head towards the cave in the bottom corner of the map and fight Reika. (If you have any Anti-Sea parts from fighting surfers they might make the fight easier.)
- Now you can enter the Seaside Cave, where you will be assaulted by fishermen and stray Medarots. These can be deadly if you haven't leveled up much, so be sure to save after every fight or use your RoboRobo Medals.
- Inside the cave, pick up a Knight Medal from the top of the ladder, and a male Tinpet from the left side of the area. You can also find a Kanehachi head (Headband) from the boxes there.
- Once you're out, you can talk to the fisherman on the beach to get a "fresh fish" item and 3 Blue Submarine parts (all but the head). Keep talking to him and you'll be able to fish up a password letter, which does absolutely nothing.
- Head back to the starting area and talk to Yanma guarding the west exit, beat him and you can move on. (Kirara will now be willing to fight you in the park as well.)
Chapter 2 - The Mountain
- Pass Yanma and enter the Medarot lab area. The goal here is to get past Kubota at the south of the map, but he won't fight you until you clear the mountain.
- A girl near Paddy's house will offer to battle you as much as you want, using a combination of Pastel Fairy/Sailormate. You can also fight Paddy in her house (she uses a single Betty Bear), but she'll only fight you once and you don't get a choice to back out when you talk to her, so save beforehand if you're worried about losing.
- Head north to the mountain village area, and visit the mayor's house to give him the fish you got from the fisherman. Talk to him again and he'll ask for some soil from the shrine on the mountain.
- Head north to the mountain area. You can kick the tree standing by itself in the middle of the map to get a beetle, but examining the tree again makes you lose it. (You can hit the tree again to get it back though.)
- Near the exit to the second (upper) part of the area, head right+down to a small enclosed bit of trees. You'll be attacked by crows that will take 1000 yen from you. Check this spot again after leaving the area and you'll be given 41 RoboRobo Medals. :O!
- In the second part of the area, head right+up to find the mountain shrine. You can check the bush to the left of the shrine to get the mountain soil the mayor asked for.
- Check the shrine to get a "Medal-like coin" that was left there. You can place it back on the shrine in exchange for a password letter, but if you do you won't be able to get it back, so I really don't recommend it!
- Head over to the monkeys in the hot spring and talk to the one on the left, which is actually Inago in disguise. He'll fight you using 2 Monkey Gongs, which should be fairly simple to beat.
- After defeating him, you'll get the Mermaid Medal as well as a girl's lost Medal. Head back to the village and speak to the girl near the top entrance to return the Medal and get a Monkey Gong head part (Smoke Gas) in return. You should also give the mayor the mountain soil while you're here. (You'll get something for it later.)
- Go back to the Medarot lab area and enter the Medarot lab buidling. One of the scientists on the second floor will examine your "Medal-like coin" and reveal that it's actually a Chameleon Medal. (Cool!)
- Now you can fight Kubota (who uses a Yellowturtle, same as when you fought him before). Beat him and you can move on the the next area, the shopping district.
Chapter 3 - Exploring the town
- You now have access to the shopping district, the insect lab area (north), the Medarot Company offices (west), the downtown area (south), and from there the Select HQ.
- If you head north to the area of the insect lab, you'll find that it appears to be a dead end. However, there's actually a RoboRobo in the house blocking a doorway that leads to the rest of the area. You can fight him as many times as you like (he uses 3 Medarots with HellPhoenix, Crow Tengu, and Yuchitang parts), but he won't let you past for now.
- Also in the insect lab area is a boy who will offer to fight you as many times as you want, using 2 Medarots with A-Burage, A-Gedama, and Betty Bear parts.
- In the shopping district itself, there are two different shops: A regular convenience store and an "import store", which sells expensive female parts. (Note that you can win Sailormate/Pastel Fairy's parts from the girl in the Medarot lab area instead of buying them here.)
- The Medarot Company area can be reached from the bottom-left of the shopping district map. There's not much of note there right now, but the shop has some useful parts, and you can get Blue Sumarine's remaining head part by talking to one of the scientists on the second floor of the Medarot Company office.
- The downtown area is south of the shopping district. If you approach the convenience store, you'll be accosted by a man called Kawamura who will challenge you to a fight. If you say yes, he'll run away and drop a "Medanot" (which you can sell for a pile of money in the post-game, but only once). He'll keep appearing when you go near the doorway and dropping Medanots every time until you say no, at which point he'll leave and never bother you again.
- The path to the Select HQ is at the bottom-left of the downtown map. If you approach it, Iseki will appear and fight you using 2 Magentacats, so save beforehand. After you beat her, you'll be able to move on to the Select HQ area.
Chapter 4 - Select HQ + Dig site
- Follow the bridge and you'll find yourself at the Select building. The goal here is to get to the top floor, but the whole building is full of random battles, so be careful. It's a pretty straightforward dungeon, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding your way through.
- A few things of note:
- The staircase in the bottom-left of the second floor leads to a room with a treasure chest containing 6 RoboRobo Medals.
- The left door on the 4th floor contains a treasure chest, but when you try to open it a ninja will appear and attack you (using 1 Medarot with Seven Colors/Nin-Ninja parts). Beat him and you'll get a Digmole head part (Cover Up) from the chest.
- The worker by the 4th floor staircase will sometimes let you answer yes/no, and saying no will make him battle you (repeatable as many times as you want). Sometimes he doesn't though, and I'm not sure what decides it.
- On the roof, you'll find a bird NPC that will turn out to be Suzume (another RoboRobo leader) in disguise. He'll fight you with 2 Crow Tengus, which can be easily taken out using Anti-Air attacks. After you win, you'll receive the Ghost Medal and he'll knock your Medarot down to the floor below. Your dad will appear and fix your Medarot, and give you your third male Tinpet.
- You'll now be able to acess the second part of the insect lab area by examining the window in the house where the RoboRobo was standing. If you visit the insect lab itself, you'll be able to sell the beetle you found on the mountain to one of the scientists there for 800 yen. (It's really all it's good for, and you can repeat it if you go back to the mountain to get another one.)
- Head to the Medal excavation site, but avoid approaching the rail cart yet as it will trigger a boss fight. Instead, go to the Medal museum and examine the window between the two bookcases on the first floor. This will take you to the house on the right of the building, which is usually closed. Examine the two bookcases in the house to receive a Monkey Gong leg part (Quick Legs) and the Bat Medal. (Yay!)
- Now you should be good to go, so make sure your Medarots are all assembled how you want, save, and approach the rail cart. It'll start a cutscene where you'll fight Reika again (using Yuchitang, Crow Tengu, and HellPhoenix parts - bring Anti-Air!). After you beat her, you'll immediately fight another RoboRobo leader, Typhoon. He uses HellPhoenix exclusively, so as long as you're prepared you'll be fine.
- After the fight, a reporter will show up and take your picture and you'll wake up in your house. Chapter done!
[End of Act 1.]
Chapter 5 - Various events
- You now have access to the remaining areas: the shrine by the school, the main tournament stadium, the ruins (by taking the rail car from the excavation site), dad's hometown (north of the excavation site), and the observatory area. There are also a lot of optional events available to you now, which you can deal with now or during the next couple chapters. However, be aware that some are missable if you wait too long to trigger them.
- Apparently it's a mid-break school day, so you'll have to visit to your classroom again at some point. After class, the city tournament at the shrine will be available, which is where you need to go next to progress. Pretty straightforward, but you'll probably want to check out at least a couple of events before moving on ahead.
- First thing is to talk to Bonaparte (your dog) in your room and get a RoboRobo uniform (it will come in handy later). Then, talk to your dad downstairs and he'll tell you there's a reward waiting for you at the Select Office. Go to the Select Office afterwards and talk to the guy to receive your 4th Tinpet. You'll have the choice between a female/male one, but note that this is your first opportunity to get a female Tinpet so far.
- After going to class and speaking to the librarian (3rd floor, far room on the left), go up to the school roof to find a "moving statue" Medarot who you can fight (it uses a team of 3 Sekizous). If you win, you'll receive a Sekizou right part (Homing) in addition to the part you won from the battle. Regardless of whether you win or lose, you'll get a "difficult book" item, which you can return to the librarian in exchange for a Doctor Study head part (Search Radar).
- The teacher at the pool will now fight you using 3 Megaphants (it's a somewhat difficult fight, so save before you talk to him). You won't get anything in particular for beating him and he'll just fight you again if you talk to him after, but it's something you can do.
- The school principal will also now be willing to fight you if you enter his office without knocking first. (Save before talking to him.) He uses two Samurais, but it can be a difficult fight even with three Medarots. This one of only two chances you'll get to obtain Samurai's parts, so don't miss it and make sure to win!
- In the Medarot lab area, Paddy will be willing to fight you again now in her house (she still only uses 1 Betty Bear, so it's not much of a fight). However, you should go to the Medarot lab building while you're here and talk to Dr. Medarot on the second floor, since he'll give you a "nametag" item that allows you to enter the closed door on the right of the first floor. (You need to pick it up before completing the city tournament, or you'll lose your chance to get it forever.)
- The scientist on the second floor of the Medarot Company office who gave you Blue Submarine's head before will now give you the "Mini-Handle" item if you talk to him. Using the item on the overworld lets you move around faster, though you still have to deal with random battles. (You can rearrange items on your item screen with Select to make it more convenient.)
- You can also go check out the main tournament stadium area now (south of the downtown). There's not much happening there yet, but it does have two stores and a couple of optional battles. One is with a construction worker standing between the stadium and warehouses south of the entrance, who'll disappear after you fight him. The other is with Tawarama in the tournament hotel (she's the girl at the computer). She'll ask if you want to fight, but if you say no she won't ask again. She uses 3 King Pharaohs and this is one of the few chances in the game to get its parts, so make sure to save before talking to her.
- Inside the insect lab building, there's a new NPC near the right entrance who'll battle you when you talk to him. It's not a difficult fight, but if you win you'll be awarded a spare head part for your starter (Missile or Antenna depending on the version).
- At the Medal excavation site, you can now use the rail cart to travel to the ruins (west of the area), which are pretty devoid of anything at the moment but you can view a small cutscene by approaching the center of the pond. However, flipping the switch on the cart platform to the up position will make the cart go to the right instead, allowing you to walk around on the rubble pile. There are two hidden items here: One in the square directly above where the cart stops (giving you another Medanot and a Teepee left arm part, Melt Rain), and the other in left of the two walkable squares in the bottom corner (giving you yet another Smoke Gas part).
- If you go north of the excavation site, you'll find yourself in "Dad's hometown", which is mostly farms and cows. Your grandparents have a house here, and your grandpa will immediately fight you if you talk to him, using 2 Moon Dragons. They have high evasion but no attacking parts, so you should be able to win by time out at least.
- The exit at the top left leads to the observatory area, which has some notable things. The most important one is buying a "star piece" item from the reception lady inside the observatory building, which will come in handy in the post-game. You can also examine the rubble pile in the bottom corner of the map (face left at the bottom of the L) to find another male Tinpet (your 5th Tinpet overall) as well as a "pottery" item.
- After getting the pottery item, head back to the mountain village area and speak to the mayor there. If you've completed his other requests, he'll take a look at it and smash it open, revealing either the parts for DonDoguu (Kabuto version) or Haniwa Golem (Kuwagata version).
- After you've done all the events you want to, head over to the shrine area to begin the city tournament!
Chapter 6 - City tournament + Regional tournament
- Approach the stage to see Yuuki get beat up by an invisible opponent, then run off.
- After doing that, the chick seller sitting near the top right stall will sell you a full set of HellPhoenix parts for 500 yen if you talk to him. (You don't get a choice to say no, but it's not a bad deal.)
- The shrine maiden there will also sell you a random fortune for 50 yen each if you want. These don't really do anything, but you'll get a password letter if you get the best option... The passwords don't really do anything either though.
- Go up the stairs of the stage and it'll give you the option to enter the tournament. The first round will start immediately (Yanma using 2 Medarots Cyandog/Yellowturtle parts), and after each round you'll have the opportunity to walk around/save/change your parts.
- There are 3 rounds to the tournament: Round 2 is vs. Kubota using 3 Yellowturtles, and Round 3 is vs. Paddy with her single Betty Bear. After that, you'll have won the tournament, but as you try to leave you'll be attacked by an invisible Inago using Monkey Gong, Escarloader, and Crow Tengu parts. Beat him, and you'll be able to move on to the next tournament in the Medarot Company basement.
- Before completing the regional tournament, if you're interested in getting Nae's ending you should go to the testing room on the first floor of the Medarot lab building and speak to Nae there (you'll need to have the name tag to get in). She'll introduce herself and ask if you want to help her test some parts (say yes). She'll give you a Heal Angel leg part (Angel Leg) and give you a chance to equip it, although you don't really need to. Talk to her when you're ready to fight and she'll battle you with 2 Medarots using a combination of Heal Angel, Lady Jet, Bunny Heart, and Pastel Fairy parts. (It may take a few tries, but it will be possible to complete Heal Angel's set later if you manage to win either of its arm parts from this battle.) Say yes to her question after the battle and she'll like you a bit more.
- The regional tournament takes place in the basement of the Medarot Company building, and works the same as the city tournament. Walk up to the stage and say yes to being each round.
- Round 1 is vs. Iseki with 3 Magentacats, Round 2 is vs. Paddy again (using a higher-level team of 3 Betty Bears now), and Round 3 is vs. a mysterious "Beauty" using Magentacat, LadyJet, and Pinguen parts (this is one of the only chances to get Pinguen's parts, so try to win one if you can).
- The final round is vs. Yuuki, who uses a combination of Rollstar and Landmotor parts (try to win Landmotor's parts, same deal as Pinguen). Notably, you'll be able to continue on to the next tournament even if you lose this fight.
- After the tournament, it'll skip forward to a scene in your classroom a week later.
Chapter 7 - Shinobic park + Other events
- The main tournament will now be available in the stadium area, but first there's another pile of optional events you'll probably want to check out before moving on (since many of them are missable).
- General stuff:
- First, go talk to the principal in his office (3rd floor, far right room). He won't fight you, but talking to him will open up the antique store in the school area.
- On the 1st floor of the school, the science teacher (middle left room) will now be willing to fight you repeatedly using 2 Mad Muscles. The school nurse (left room closest to the stairway) will also offer to fight you one time, using 2 Medarots with Holynurse, Ladyjet, and Pastel Fairy parts. After the battle, she'll give you a Unicorn Medal regardless of whether you win or lose. (This only available up until you finish the main tournament, so do it now or you'll miss out on the Medal!)
- In town, head to the antique store (it's the house on the row above your house). If you talk to the shopkeeper and select buy or sell (you don't need to buy/sell anything), the man next to the counter will give you a lottery ticket item when you talk to him. This can be repeated up to 7 times to give you 7 lottery tickets.
- Go to the shopping district and try the lottery by talking to the girl and then examining the computer (save beforehand). You can win RoboRobo Medals, beetles, pottery, and a Shinobi Ticket. The Shinobi Ticket should be your priority since you can't get it anywhere else, but you can trade any extra pottery items you win for extra DonDoguu/Haniwa Golem sets by talking to the mountain village mayor again.
- If you lost the final round of the regional tournament, you can go talk to Yuuki in his house in the Medarot Company area and he'll give you a full set of Crow Tengu parts as a consolation prize.
- Nae events:
- If you're interested in getting Nae's ending, you should return to the Medarot lab and speak to her again. She'll ask you to do a second round of part testing and give you a Heal Angel head part (Angel Body) this time. (If you manage to win the remaning arm part from this battle, you'll have completed the full Heal Angel set.) Say yes to her question after the battle to make her happier.
- After the part testing, you'll be able to find Nae standing out in front of the observatory. She'll ask you if you believe in stuff like wishing upon a shooting star and if you say yes, she'll be happy to hear it. I'm not sure if this has an impact on the ending (since she'll keep asking you if you talk to her), but it can't hurt.
- Shinobic Park:
- Once you have a Shinobi Ticket from the lottery, go to the house to the left of the insect lab in the insect lab area and examine the back window to find the secret passage to Shinobic Park. Make sure not to turn back before finishing everything you want to do there though, since it'll use up your Shinobi Ticket and you won't be able to get back in without one. (If you leave and still have some lottery tickets left, you can win another Shinobi Ticket through the lottery and return.)
- Inside Shinobic Park, examine the building next to the gift shop and you'll get a free Nin-Ninja head (Mist Net). If you try it a second time you'll get Nin-Ninja's legs (Ninja Legs), and if you try it again after that, you'll lose a Nin-Ninja head part and get both Nin-Ninja arms in return (Kunai and Ninjato). Nothing will happen if you go inside with zero Mist Nets, but you can repeat the trade (head for both arms) if you manage to get another one.
- The main attraction is the large Ninja Mansion building, which looks like a hotel on the inside with a slightly confusing layout. Climb the stairs to the second floor and examine the scroll on the wall to find yourself in a secret room. The room is completely black and contains a maze with a RoboRobo leader standing in the center. The outer tiles of the room are all walkable, so you need to walk all the way to the right to get out and then re-enter the maze from the bottom to reach him. The RoboRobo will turn out to be Suzume, and he'll fight you using Crow Tengu, Yuchitang, and Monkey Gong parts.
- After you beat him, you'll fall down the building to the basement floor, which has a bunch of NPCs on it. Talk to the girl in the bottom-right of the room and she'll give you a female Tinpet (your 6th Tinpet overall). The other guy in the room will also offer to fight you, but only once. The stairs at the top-left corner will lead you to a small dead-end room with a Seven Colors head part (Invisi-Body) hidden in a dresser. The scroll on the wall of the room you fell into will take you back to the main floor, but you won't be able to return to this area later so finish up everything you want to do before leaving.
- RoboRobo tournament:
- This requires you to have the RoboRobo suit item. (If you don't have it, you can still get it from Bonaparte in your room.)
- Once you have it, head to the shrine area and approach the north entrance (it was inaccessible before). Two RoboRobos in normal clothes will appear and go inside, and you'll follow after them wearing your RoboRobo suit as a disguise. You won't be able to get back in once you leave, so make sure to finish everything you want to inside before leaving.
- On the first floor of the hideout, go down the staircase on the right and talk to/fight the RoboRobo Grunt in there to get a "RoboRobo Card" item. The other staircase on the far left side of the first floor will take you further in.
- The second floor features a crate on a raised platform north of the staircase which contains a "RoboRobo Badge" item which you need to progress, and a Propolis leg part (Abdomen). There's also a crate in the table area in the center of the room which contains a Propolis head part (Hexadon).
- The third floor contains a large stage area and several RoboRobos. The RoboRobo on the right will ask if you brought a Medarot for the tournament, and will give you a full set of CoffinBat parts if you say no. The one on the left will battle you when you talk to him and not give you anything for it (aside from RoboRobo Medals).
- Climb the stairs of the stage to enter the RoboRobo tournament and fight 3 consecutive RoboRobos. If you win all three fights, you'll get a Blackmail leg part (Devil leg) as a prize. :O
- After winning, talk to the RoboRobo you just fought and he'll ask if you're the kid that's been causing them trouble. If you say no he'll realize it's you and kick you out, but if you say yes he'll assume you're joking and let you stay.
- After saying yes, talk to the boss RoboRobo on the stage (Typhoon). If you have the RoboRobo Card item, he'll take it and reward you with a boss battle, which isn't too hard. Regardless of whether you win or lose, you'll get a pile of loot afterwards: A conductor's baton, a "boss's photo" item, and the Monkey Medal. :O
- That's all there is to do in here, so head on out once you've collected all the RoboRobo Medals you want from random battles.
- If you go back to the school and give the conductor's baton to the music teacher (1st floor, far left room), he'll give you a Volume 10 right arm part (Sound Copy) and battle you using Volume 10 and Flower Charge parts. He'll keep fighting you if you talk to him, but there's no reward aside from it being the only place to get parts for Volume 10.
- RoboRobo side events:
- Enter the bottom right house in the Medarot Company area and you'll encounter Reika, who will fight you immediately using a single Yuchitang again. This will kick off a sidequest, where you'll need to have Moon Dragon's arm and leg parts (you can buy them at the antique store in the school area).
- After you fight her, a new NPC will appear in front of the bottom-most house in the observatory area. If you have Moon Dragon's right arm part (Cure Water) and say yes, she'll reveal herself to be Reika and take it from you. However, you can get the part back by leaving the area once and checking the rubble at the bottom right of the screen.
- Another NPC (an old man) will appear in front of the middle house in the Medarot Company area. If you have the Moon Dragon leg parts (Dragon's Bed) and say yes, he'll reveal himself as Suzume and take them and disappear.
- Lastly, go to the park and there will be a boy NPC standing by the bench near the entrance (who's obviously Inago based on how he talks). If you have the left arm (Revival Spring) and give it to him, he'll promise to pay you back for it and disappear.
- Afterwards, leave the park and come back and he'll be there again. Talk to him, and he'll return the left arm/leg parts that were taken and give you spare copies of your starter Medarot's right and left arm parts as thanks (Revolver/Submachinegun in Kabuto, or Chanbara Sword/Picopeco Hammer in Kuwagata).
- When you've done all the optional stuff you intend to do, head to the stadium area to begin the main tournament.
Chapter 8 - Let The Main Tournament Commence!
Now that we are done with the various optional stuff in the other available areas, it is finally time to start the Main Tournament in the Stadium area
- Optional things to do in the stadium area:
- before the tournament starts heading left of the entrance is the "Tournament Hotel" where foreign participants and visitors will be staying. In the hotel area there is a girl in front of the computer who if talked to, will have a Robottle with you. Her name is Tawarama and she will battle you use King Pharaoh parts. King Pharaoh parts are very hard to get and this is the first of four chances to get part for him (if you didn't get them with the event of the "Medarot Laboratory") so be sure to safe before beginning the Robattle in case you get duplicate parts.
- Next be sure to check the import shop near the south port to pick up a little surprise. they sell "Beast Master" parts here!? indeed the very powerfull WEA-O model is for sale in this shop. they do however cost a pretty penny so be sure to stock up on money if you plan to buy these parts. if you do plan on buying these parts be sure to also use a Medarot using Scan parts in your team (Beast Master parts miss frequently). They also sell other usefull and rare parts like for ex. Red Matador (COW-0) parts
- The Main Tournament:
- after having done all the optional stuff, we can finally start the Main Tournament. this tournament follows the same style of Robattles as the city and regional but you will battle seven Rounds this time.
- In the first round you will be facing Harvest(?) who uses A-Gedama (TAN-0)/Kirabbit (RBT-0) and Yellowturtle (TOT-0) parts. Kirabbit is a potentially dangerous medarot because it reduces the "Charge" of its allies to 0 getting them to attack very quickly so be prepared. If you win against Harvest (?) you can advance to the second round by reentering the arena.
- In the second round you will be facing shamojiel (?) who will be using Red Matador (COW-0) parts. If you don't have high damaging parts, this robottle can take too long because Red Matador has "Defend" on his left arm and "Perfect Defense" on the head. However, his only source of damage is a mediocre "Sword" so it doesn't really pose a threat. after beating Shamojiel (?) you will advance to the third round. reenter the arena when you are ready.
- Now begins the third round against Jaw Suihan (?) who uses TeePee (NTB-0) parts. Unlike the previous match, he opts for a more offensive tactic. The model's armor is replaced with high speed, damage, and inflicts burn that reduces armor little by little (like poison in other games). In case you don't have high damaging parts it would be a good idea to add a defensive Medarot in the team or even equip your party with parts that have high armor. if you managed to get through, you can advance to the fourth round.
- In the fourth round you will face off against Tawarama, which means this is your second chance to obtain King Pharaoh parts. if you were able to defeat her in the hotel, then this will be no problem. after defeating her you can advance to the fifth round.
- The fifth round pits you against Yuuki who will be using Landmotor (CAR-0) and Rollstar (RAY-0) parts. This is your second chance to obtain Landmotor parts so be sure to save before hand in case you get duplicate parts. after defeating Yuki you will advance to the Semi finals
- The semi-final let's you face off with Dad!? He will be using Monkey Gong (MON-0) and Escarloader (INT-0) parts but don't worry, he is not that hard to beat (dissapointing, I know...). after beating Dad you will advance to the finals against Teiya, commander of the select force!
- But first we need to follow Bonaparte who will lead you to ne of the rooms inside the tournament hall. here we see the Masked Beauty talk to Teiya but he suddenly kidnaps her and runs off. you will obtain "Kirara's Phone". This means that Kirara was the masked beauty all along!? conveniently she is brought to the warehouse to the left of the "Main Tournament Hall".
- After rescuing Kirara you can return to the Tournament hall to begin the final round against Teiya. Teiya uses a combination of Red matador (COW-0), Kirabbit (RBT-0), Teepee (NTB-0) and King Pharaoh (EGT-0) parts. the difficulty of ths match is dependant on how good your own parts are. this is also your third chance to obtain King Pharaoh parts. sadly the parts he uses are random so there is no guarantee that he will use the parts that you need, so be sure to save beforehand.
- After winning against Teiya, suddenly all phones won't seem to work. not only that but your medal breaks and your medarot explodes. this means that the award ceremony need to be postponed.
- You arrive at your house but you can't start a Robbotle anymore becuase of your broken medal so you are free to explore the world without engaging in a random encounter.
- Go to the "Medarot Company" and talk to the scientist who gave you the "Mini-Handle" and the head of Blue Marine. This time you will get the "Wings of Wing" vehicle (what a name...) with this you will be able to fly to any place on the map (like the move fly in Pokemon).
- Now talk to Yuuki at his house west of "Medarot Company".
- Go to the "Shrine" and try your luck at the altar, try to get great luck, this way you get a part of a password which will be usefull to activate an event later.
- If you tested your luck, then you can now ybattle the dog statues that are on the left side of that area they use Comadog (COM-0) parts. You can face them as many times as you want as long as you don't continue the story. While the Medarot isn't a big deal, this is the only way to get it's parts.
- Go to the "Medal Dig Site" and get on the cart where the robottle against the roborobo gang started before. You will appear in "Ruins" and you must approach the center of the ruins where you encountered the strange mini cutscene. After a strange dialogue your medal will be repaired and you will also get the "Alien" medal.
- After getting your medal repaired and obtaining the Alien medal, you will suddenly be at school. apparently all the medarot have gone berserk and talking to any medarot on the map will engage a Robottle.
- You can get a "Rabbit" medal if you talk to the boy near the bridge at the "Mountain Village" area.
- Go back to the "Stadium" area and talk to the guy who is in a house in the eastern part of the area. He will ask you a question and if you answer yes then he will give you a Male Tin-Pet. If you say no, then he will give you a Female Tin-Pet.
- Go to the cellar next to the warehouse where Kirara was kidnapped to face a Roborobo Grunt. He uses a combination of Hellphoenix (PHX-0), Monkey Gong (MON-0) andCrow Tengu (CRW-0)/Yuichitang (SAK-0). As a reward for beating him, you will get the "Periscope", a vehicle that will help you cross bodies of water and that is essential to continue.
- Kirara/Nea ending event
- You must have the head parts "Solar Laser" (FLW-0) and the legs "Roots" (FLW-0). If you don't have them then you can buy them in the store at the "Insect Professor's Laboratory" area.
- When you're ready, talk to the teacher which is located to the left of the infirmary in the school, and deliver "Solar Laser".
- Afterwards you need to do the same for the Nurse to give her the "Roots" part. Be careful because if you don't deliver the parts now you will miss out on both of the ending.
Chapter 9 - Decisive Battle at Select HQ!
- The Select HQ has been taken over by the Roboroboo's. Time for a final face off against the evil gang.
- You will not be able to fly to the "Select Headquarters" area bacause of a barrier blocking flight entirely, as well as the bridge that connects HQ with "Downtown" has been raised to block entry.
- Fly to "Downtown" and use the vehicle "Periscope" in the lake near the bridge. Once on the other side, enter the control room. Here you can lower the bridge so you can go back to "Downtown" and "Select HQ" if necessary.
- Enter "Select HQ" from the door on the right and speak with the roborobo in front of the computer to battle him. The grunt uses Hellphoenix (PHX-0), Monkey Gong (MON-0) and Crow Tengu (CRW-0)/Yuichitang (SAK-0) parts which should not be too difficult to take down.
- After defeating him, interact with the PC to deactivate the barrier so that you can fly from and to the area if necessary. you can now go up the stairs to the other floors of the building.
- Interact with the chest on the second floor to reach a secret room and talk to the three scientists. If you go out and go back in those scientists will have disappeared.
- Go back to the previous floor and take the stairs to the north.
- Advance until you see to a roborobo that you will have to face and it will only have two CoffinBat which are easy to take down.
- Go on to the next floor and interact with the computer on the right to deactivate the "Rampage System" so that the Medarot will return to normal.
- As you walk to the stairs at the other end of the room you will briefly notice a character that crosses the corner that looks a lot like Yanma. Don't worry, It's not a glitch, it's part of a later event.
- On the fourth floor you will have to face another roborobo member to advance. He will be using a combination of Hellphoenix (PHX-0), Monkey Gong (MON-0), Crow Tengu (CRW-0) andYuichitang (SAK-0) parts. If you did not deactivate the previous computers you will not be able to face it.
- The next floor is empty, save for Yanma who appears again for a second. At this time you can return to the floor where the scientists were and you will find Yanma, Kubota and Iseki who will give you the "Taser" head part (CAT-01).
- Go to the 6th floor to face Kakashi. He will only be using Propolis (BEE-0) parts. Your "friends" will show up but they won't be much help and you will have to continue alone. But first take the head "Clear Shield" (NIT-01) from the chest.
- On the seventh floor you can find the parts of the "Wire Alien" model (ALI-0) if you interact with the seats in front of the computers. Before leaving the floor you will see Daichi and a "revealing" scene after which you need to Robottle him. He only uses Maxnake (SNA-0) Parts.
- As soon as you go up the stairs you will meet Minori and Mask Beauty, which starts another robottle. Minori only uses Auroraqueen (QUN-0) Parts. "Auroraqueen" is a very fragile but powerful model, similar to "Magentacat". Therefore you must be careful with her status ailment "stop".
- On the next floor there will be nothing, except that if you touch the chest in the corner you will return to the start automatically.
- Head upstairs and get ready because This is where it gets tough. When you talk to Taiyo, the final battle will begin. divided into two phases, the first against this gentleman and the second against... a trio of "Beast Masters" (WEA-0). The fight against Taiyo is your fourth and last chance to get "King Pharaoh" parts and you won't be able to save between both battles, so good luck
- The first phase is against Taiyo. He uses a combination of Redmatador (COW-0), Kirabbit (RBT-0), Teepee (NTB-0) and King Pharaoh (EGT-0) parts. The battle is the same as during the tournament and the same applies for the strategy. The more balanced your medarot are, the more difficult it will be.
- After beating Taiyo, you will begin the second ahnd final phase of the fight. You will be pitted against the medarot created solely to destroy: Beast Master. Each hit of a "Beast Master" part can mean a part or two less for your Medarot.... The best strategy would be to bring at least one defensive medarot with parts of "Red Matador", "Holy Nurse", "Armor Knight" or even "DonDoguu" and "Haniwa Golem". The objective would be to cover his teammates so that they can attack with massive damage parts, like the "Beast Master" itself or "Samurai". You can also resort to healing parts ("Holy Nurse" or "Moon Dragon") or hide your medabots ("Seven Colors").
- By defeating this final and tough enemy you will be greeted with a "strange" conclusion and then you will appear in your house. Talk to your dad and go back to "Harbour Town".
- Kirara/Nae/Chick vendor endings.
- Go to the south of the area and talk to Kirara. From here the end will vary according to the path you have taken throughout the game.
- Kirara's Ending: Kirara asks you a question and you answer "Yes".
- Nae's Ending: Kirara asks you a question and you answer "No". if you meet With the requirements, the Chick Vendor will arrive and tell you that someone wait elsewhere. So go to the "Observatory" and talk to Nae on the second floor. However, if you do not meet the requirements for Nae's ending and you answer "No" to Kirara you will get nothing.
- The Chick Vendor Ending: Kirara doesn't ask you a question and the Chick Vendor gives you a "Blue Chick".
- Whatever path you have taken the credits will start and you will appear in your house.
Chapter 10: Post-Game rewards and events
Your journey may be over but the game sure isn't.

By defeating him you will get the left arm "Granade" (GLM-03) and the "Complicated Book" item. Just like last time, return the item to the librarian and you will get "Historic Book" and the right arm "Point Radar" (BOK-02). - Get Devil/Angel/Dragon/Ninja medals
- This event can only be done after getting the reward for the end of Nae or Kirara.
- Go to the lake to the left of "Mountain Village" and talk to the old man. Then use "Periscope" and enter the dam. when you pass by the descent that is ahead you will slip and you will get a medal according to the version you play and the ending you got.

- Get parts of "Blackmail" (DVL-0) and the "Wolf" medal.
In the lower right corner of the "Mountain Village" there is a guy who will challenge you. to a robottle that in my opinion is more difficult than the battle against the "Beast Masters", so be sure to save the game before starting.
- The wolf Man will fight you using Blackmail (DVL-0) parts. Blackmail is a demon in every sense of the word. Its parts cause massive and chain damage in addition to having very high armor. you will have to prepare with defensive parts and powerful and fast attacks to be able to face it. Note that you will only be able to get two more parts of this model (you already got the leg parts from the "Mission at Roborobo Base" chapter), so I recommend winning the head or the left arm.
- Now go to the "Medarot Laboratory" building and talk to the scientist who is in the lower right corner to get "Ordinary Glasses". bring him this item to the Wofl Man but get ready because you will face him again. if you can defeat him again will get the "Wolf" medal.
- Get Kappa medal
- Go to "Mountainside" where you found the 41 roborobo medals and interact with the narrowest part of the center of the lake. A Kappa will appear and you will face it in a robbotle:
- The kappa uses a combination of River Saucer (KAP-0) and Yuichitang (SAK-0) parts. By defeating him you will receive the "Kappa" medal.
- Kintaro Event:
- Go to the altar in "Mountainside" but two stray medarot will stop.
- The first one uses a combination of Monkey Gong (MON-0), Propolis (BEE-0) and Maxsnake (SNA-0) parts. After beating him you will face a second stray medarot.
- The second stray medarot uses a combination of Hellphoenix (PHX-0), Flowercharge (FLW-0) and A-Burage (KTN-0) parts. You can repeat this event up to 4 times but you won't get anything special from doing so.

- Use "Wing of Wind" to fly to "Shinobic park" and you will reach the house that is hidden in a corner. Go inside and you will face an old man three times in a row.
- He will be using Mad Muscle (RIC-0), Nin-Ninja (NIN-0) and Kin-Tarou (KIN-0) parts.

- When you have both Kabuto medal and Kuwagata medal, go to the school and talk to the science teacher and you will get the "Cat" medal.
- Get medal "?"
- You need to have all the medals in the game, go to the "Medarot Laboratory" and talk to Dr Medabot (Dr Aki) who is in the northern part of the top floor and you will be rewarded the "?" medal.
Special Thanks
I would like to use this section to thank CarlosP on GameFAQ again for making the Original Guide. Sadly due to lack of spare time he abandoned the english translation of the guide. After finishing this guide, I will be taking a break to translate CarlosP's other guides on Medarot 3, 4, and 5 and post them on the Medapedia. Untill then, take care!
