Maquette (マケット) is a prototype stag beetle-type Medarot that first appeared in the Medarot 3 manga and then later as part of Medarot 8, where it was added in as a DLC-exclusive.
In the games
In Medarot 8
Maquette was introduced in Medarot 8 as a DLC-exclusive Medarot and given the model number KWGXX. It appears along with Navi Commu, Tawaraya Left, and Right Soutatsu in the sixth DLC mission, which can be downloaded for 300 yen ($2.40). It still sports its signature microwave cannon, and even has a unique attack (Microwave) which self-destructs after a single massively powerful shot. Its legs are bipedal and its other parts are Radar Sight and Hammer like other KWG Medarots. Its legs have the "Artillery" ability (attack power/success + 5 if not attacked during charge time).
The in-game encyclopedia describes Maquette as "a mythical prototype Medarot" that failed to make it into production, but later served as the predecessor to the Dorcus and Titanbeetle design branches.
In the manga
In Medarot 3 manga
Maquette is described as a prototype Medarot that served as the basis for both Dorcus and Tyrrellbeetle. Its model is given as "KWG-3 unit 0", reflecting Dorcus's KWG-3 model number at the time.
It appears under the command of Angura and the RoboRobo Gang, who use Maquette to attack Ikki and his friends. Its right arm is replaced with an giant cannon that fires damaging microwaves, and its "normal" right arm part is never shown.
